UCAs have lead time too now? I got my Camburg shipped out and delivered in total less than a week from Accutune, you can email them to see if they have stock and ready to ship.

Any particular reason why you chose SPC? Have you looked at JBA Offroad? They have advantages over other manufacturers

Thank you for the quick responses - I appreciate it.

No particular reason for wanting to go with SPC other than some good feedback.

It’s sounding like the JBA UCA is more user friendly for alignment shops? Any other pros or cons for going with an SPC?

Easier to clear tires depending on wheel offset

I've read several with 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75bs saying the tires does not clear the JBA uca and would need wheel spacers. That's why i have .75" Bora wheel spacers.

I believe JBA uses ball joints that get more motion. I think they also use balljoints that you can pick up at any parts store, whereas I believe SPC has custom ones. I would've gone JBA if my lift kit didn't come with it's own UCAs.

SPC's are fine, no doubt. They be pricey though. I got JBA's for under $500 and pretty quickly too, if I remember correctly. The main thing for me was the Moog ball joint can replaced without removing the UCA. The ball joint is inexpensive and can be sourced at pretty much any auto parts store. I keep a pair in my truck. SPC ball joints are expensive to replace. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah my tire rubs slightly on the driver side UCA at full lock. No spacers with the 4runner pro wheels & 285's. I'm not concerned, though. Steel beats rubber every time and it doesn't happen often

This is is good to know, I have the same wheel off set.

I’ve been told the SPC has extra adjustability for caster and camber

Yes several on the huge JBA UCA thread stated that their tires did not clear the jba uca. I didn't not try it without the wheel spacers. I had my 285/75/17s installed at the same time as the .75" bora(equals to -19 offset). Now there's plenty of clearance. The custom Boras cost me $200 for front and rear. Also my wheels must have gaps b/c the the oem studs is slightly longer than .75"

My caster is set at 4.4/4.5 and i have no rubbing. Prior to alignment it slightly rubbed CMC and othet spots.

    Just fyi.

I think for the most part you'll only hear positive reviews on the SPCs. The arguments against are that not all shops know how to adjust them. I called a local shop, they said, "Yea, we've done a few." I brought them the directions supplied with the SPCs when I dropped off my truck and they had no problem getting the alignment right.

I got the SPCs because of the maximum adjustability. I also wanted the ball joint over uniball because of maintenance and my particular range of use.

Not trying to turn this thread into an SPC vs. JBA, op. Just giving you options in the case you don't find what you want in the time you need them by

Can tell you from experience, you bring SPC instructions into Firestone and they'll nod and promptly disregard the UCAs entirely lol.

Luckily we have a 4x4 shop in town that specializes in trucks like ours and will adjust them easily.

They are also really easy to adjust yourself btw. Adjust to them to what you want via the instructions and then get an alignment at your place of choice.
