    Side note for people who are homebased semi-amateur tuners in their local area:

    Consider the price of the software and cable. That is what most people charge for a one time flash... Even if the person doesn't buy OV2.0 from Mat, they would still have the ability to develop their own or use free tunes from TW.

    @OVTune

    What kind of cost are you talking?

    I haven't updated to 04b42 yet as you don't have a tune pack available for that yet.

    With the updatedyou are going to put out, i will have to update.

    I was going to wait to buy credits until all that happened. Would you recommend buying them now instead of waiting?

    Is the tune pack for 04b42 going to cost extra or can we get that to replace our current tune pack that becomes useless?

    I honestly wouldn't even consider changing to the new tsb version if it wasn't for vftuner and the expected changes coming for MT.

    @MOC221_

    Tried this today:

    yeahok.jpg

    Noticed......nothing...

    Maybe less rev hang coming out of 1st gear. I did notice in previous edits that i could make rev hang worse or better with this map but at a cost.

    I ran out 1st gear to 5k and 6k with minimal to no hang. but second gear to 5k hung like hell. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, im gonna play with it as if it were in MPH, and see if i can duplicate the results in 2nd gear.

    If i can get full power with no or limited hang in 1st and second gear by doing this, then ill leave the rest where its at.

    Thanks for the update!

    My one and only edit of that map was mostly in the first two rows, and all I can say is I didn't make the drive any worse lol..

    I want to go back and fiddle some more with the PTET map as well, so far all I've done there is increased engine braking by making the 0 or "full lift" column more negative than stock.

    Expanded it this morning and flashed. Noticed pretty dead throttle this morning below 45 mph in comparison to what i had before

    It does appear to be in mph

    So true, thats what I end up doing. The ability to try different tune and upgrade at your own pace is so worth it. Some of free tunes may be better suited you than 2.0. Termlimit got a great tune for some coffee money, well worth it.

    To me it’s not even about people trying mine, Kreg, or anyone else’s files on here. In my mind it’s kinda a disservice to someone to charge them a lot of money for something that isn’t refundable after it’s complete.

    At least with other vehicles the handheld programmers can be returned within 30 days if they don’t like the product. But I just think of someone paying $300 to get a tune that initially they’ll notice it feels different, but maybe later not like it as much. Then they’re kinda SOL unless they pay to reflash a new tune or back to stock.

    The ones I’ve done for people I let them drive my truck for a little bit and see how it feels. Then I’ll let them decide if they want the throttle response more or less

    with OV's hardware/software being more cost effective now, than say when the OG's bought in at 700.00 or more up front (I bought in Dec of 2019). it really is a hard pill to swallow, for those of us who bought early on. Ski

    Didn’t that $700 get us his tune packs though? Buying now doesn’t get you those for $350. At least not directly if I’m reading the tea leaves correctly.

    I bought in in January 2020 for $700. I love that the price is coming down for the newer guys. That's more people out enjoying their trucks.

    Me, US$780, and I've been locked out since March 26. To me, you can either write software that looks like a virus and is subject to automatic deletion, or you can have an installation counter, but you can't have both.

    04C30 has vF Stock and Tune Pack support.

    04C00 / 04C01 is the Mexican / South American market ECUs. @OVTune is aware of 04C01 coming off of the assembly line, but I do not believe it is supported in vF yet, nor has a Tune Pack.
