I have one of the kreg tracks but my circular saw flexed a lot. Had to go back with a 2 inch flush cut bit on the router to clean it up. Need to invest in a beefier saw.

Busy day. Got to work on the DSM a little bit.

Started off with an oil change...

Then I needed to replace the lug nuts. Unfortunately the only thing they had at the zone that had the keyed socket I needed to remove the old ones are blue... That's when things got sketchy. My 1/2 HF Earthquake stubby wouldn't budge the old ones off in the front. Crap! Then I remembered I had the Snap on. Yup, a little sketchy setup, but it worked (lug socket, 19mm, and then impact)

I did try and jack the rear up, but it was only a try. The pinch weld is pretty much super soft at this point on the drivers rear. Gonna take a good bit of metal work to get it right. Was able to jack up from the suspension mount. When I pulled the tire off I found the source of the vibration and noise, the belt broke on the inside side. Yup, not driving it till I get tires Tuesday. The brakes are in sad shape so I ordered a set of Raybestos coated rotors and Element 3 pads front and rear. Yea, seems kinda excessive for a beater, but the whole lot was $135 shipped to my door on Rock Auto. The front lower forward and rearward control arm bushings are pretty much spanked as well. Before the end of May I'll have to replace them to pass inspection I imagine. They're only like $11-$15 a piece on Rock Auto. Yes cheap ones, but at this point it'll probably outlive the car.

Decided to also see what the headlights could look like. To my surprise they came out good, well I be dipped!

Me and a friend were talking today about the long history between Chrysler and Mitsubishi. So many models they either collaborated on or simply rebaged as one another's products over the years

prices are higher here (AK) in general it seems. I call it high, but not unbelievably so. Good luck with any future estimates and figuring out what to do. Complicated puzzle regardless.

    Respect :oldglory:

Can relate, materials cost has gone up 50-100% here from what I've seen. With our higher initial costs here I think local vendors are taking the squeeze to try and keep buyer costs down and sales up. My brother is in Georgia and materials there are up 100-200%.

Even here, a quarter mile from where we make the damn stuff, it's up 200%

Mornin’ lads. Tacoma is an employee again today. Chicago bound. Be safe.

am I the only one who isn’t crazy about calling my truck a Taco? Is this a stocker mentality?
