I just bought a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport. Its my first Tacoma & I'm loving it! I am totally new at this, so please bear with me.

I want to change my wheels & tires. I currently have stock alloy wheels & stock P265/65/R17 tires. I want to put on OEM TRD Pro wheels in matte black. I think the serial # is PTR2035110BK. Will these work without any issues, rubbing, etc?? I'm assuming I would get 17" wheels. After I figure out if these rims will work, I may have a few questions on tires. Note, this truck will be on pavement 90%+ of the time. I truly appreciate any advice!!!

Those rims fit perfectly (by design) and will set you up perfectly for a number of tire options that will be equally "fitting."

I had a 2019 Trd Sport with those wheels. It fit just fine.

Now I have a 2021 Trd Sport with the new design wheels.

    Hey Everyone,

I'm a Tundra driver, but just ordered a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off Road for my son. While waiting for build and delivery, I wanted to secure the tires and wheels. Did quite a bit of searching but wanted to verify fitment before I ordered the wheels and tires.

I just want to confirm if this size tire on these wheels will fit without rubbing the body mount. CAn anyone confirm that this seutp would work?

    Thanks!

"Will 33" tires rub?" is a question of great debate here at TW - and one that eludes generalizations and any definitive answer. As such, what follows is simply my own opinion based upon the balance of my reading here:

    1. going with the OEM TRD Pro wheel sets you up for the best chance of success - so good choice.
    2. the lift isn't really going to help the wheel fit, it's more about rubbing at the back of the front rear wells, particularly against the infamous cab mount.
    3. for mall crawling you may get away with not rubbing (maybe reverse, turning, uphill).
    4. off-roading will definitely require some plastic trimming and a cab mount chop (CMC) to fix rubbing.
    5. If you don't want to trim and cut, stick with 255/75/17 (32").

    Good to know.

Don't mind plastic trimming, for I've done quite a bit on my Tundra running 295/70s. However, I do not wish to do a BMC. Therefore, I will take your advise and fall back to 255/75R17.
    Thanks!.

You might want to hold tight on your decision - this is usually the part in the conversation when people chime in with their 255/80/17 non-chop success stories. Or take your question to the holy altar of these things: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-skinny-on-skinny-tires.529656/

My local dealership actually had some Tacoma's come in that were unclaimed. So I was able to pick up a TRD Sport without having to wait for the one I had on order. I know, it's a Sport, but I am converting it to a "Sport Pro"..

I'm about to purchase the TRD Pro 17" wheels, PTR2035110BK which are listed as for the 4Runner. However, I am going to put in new TPMS stems so that I can keep the existing wheel intact. The TPMS sensors suggested with the TRD Pro wheel on the Toyota websites indicates the stem is for the 4Runner. I did some searching but could not conclude what TPMS sensor I need for the '21 Tacoma. Does anyone know the part number for the TPPS I need for the '21 and will fit in the TRD Pro 4Ruinner wheel?

21' DC OR with TRD Lift, TRD SEMA Matte Black, and ST MAXX at 275/70. Love the setup and no rub but it does throw some gravel on the highway.
