I can hold a decent drum line and can do some simple fills but nothing complicated. I also can't seem to separate my right foot on the kick drum from my right hand on the cymbals.

Beyond that, give me the mixing board.

That right foot right hand thing is kinda crazy but I know what you mean, playing drums sometimes I'd have the same issue in different scenarios where one limb is trying to do something syncopated and the others are straight on the beat.

Also, I'd consider doing a good job on the mixing board as much a skill as playing an instrument well. There's plenty of people who are absolutely terrible at it and go right on ahead ruining performances lol.

 

We’ve been waiting for a couple months on parts for this machine. I opened the pressure gauge and it’s in bar. Boss man said if they don’t like it they can change it

 

Our son has a set of drums, he does okay with them. I had my buddy give him one lesson and he kinda lost interest after that.

In reference to the poll, I can't play an instrument, but I can play the shit outta a radio which turns into an air guitar session! Speaking of playing the shit out of the radio I was messin' around with the sub setup in the new beater. Got out of the car and it seems like the neighbor was less than impressed with the 3 10" woofers... Whoops!

 

I've never had a lesson or spent enough time on a throne (not that one!) to be decent but I don't foresee either of those helping me.

When I was mixing, I had to have the play list and you have about 3 seconds to switch lead and rhythm guitar and lead and background vocals volumes so you have to know the songs and the guys enough to be able to know where things need to be.

 

Bedroom should be a loft over the kitchen to free up valuable garage floor space.

That might be good for you over the next 10 years or so. You can quietly play the piano or guitar -- drums not so much.

 

There is no good way to get around the few hours of daily Drum Practice even more so when the Drummer no amount of practice will help . After the Months of whining to play the Drums.
