I hit a P0420 the other day after driving ~50 miles in 4hi. I checked and cleared it using Torque Pro and will consider doing something about it if it happens again. Since I just bought the truck last summer, I have some time til I need to go in for smog.

In other news, I finally painted my winch mount and ordered a M8-S.

I wouldn’t really care when I’m just buying gas every couple of days.
It’s when I’m filling up a couple times a day for 3 or 4 weeks that sound painful.

    Maybe some day

Protip: the leaner your truck runs, the less gas it uses :homer:

Don’t supercharge a four cylinder automatic.

Lol I have that too, is yours the 8 PSI one? I think mine is 6 PSI.

I bought an AEM FIC with the Boomslang harness, now I just need to figure out how to use it haha. It’ll make the truck less horrible.

He's on 35s with 4.10s, no matter what he's so undergeared he'll be on the gas a lot just to keep moving.

Ah you're right, thought we were talking about Ben. Yeah Tyler's also in the gas too much but that's because the automatic is a potato.

Make that a baked potato, it got too toasty when I towed through the mountain passes.

There was a couple mile stretch in Utah when I was driving to Moab last year, going up a grade against a strong headwind - fully loaded with my roof rack still on.

I had my boost gauge pegged, AFRs pegged low at like 10.5 and pedal to the floor in 4th gear and maxed out at like about 65mph lol. Pretty sure I was getting maybe 1/2 a mile per gallon on that stretch.

oh I have the 5spd, I would never own the auto trans on this truck

It was a strong ass headwind and the gear I was carrying didn't help. Was also what convinced me to finally ditch the roof rack
