Its because you're trying to use unsettled cash.

Try setting a limit order for $3 and the order should go through like a market order. Just set if for however many shares you want

 

with settled cash or a recent deposit?

I will try this. It won't currently work though as I cannot set the price more than $1 away from the last trade price. It is currently showing as $1.94 so until it is back at $2 I cannot set it for $3
