That's exactly my concern as well. Hopefully I can eke just enough signal at tomorrow's worksite to get through

My latest parts order arrived. I'll finished this project later but got impatient and had to check something out during lunch. Quick teaser:

need to learn more about this stuff
    HIGHLY doubt it.

I bought the shuttle on Saturday in a lego store. Just emailed them and said I’d like the double vip points. If they don’t get back to me or won’t do it. I’m gonna take it back. Return it. And then rebuy it. I don’t have a ton of faith that they’ll give me the double points without doing the return and rebuy

    Latest projects:

A while ago I posted a render of a Classic Space heavy cargo crawler designed in Studio. Well now it exists in reality

    20210413_203132.jpg

Seats a crew of four: pilot, radar/communications officer, and two passengers. Access is through a hatch in the back of the cabin with a folding ladder to reach the ground.

    20210413_203725.jpg

    20210413_203346.jpg

There is also a crane arm that folds and stows under the cargo deck for moving lighter loads

    20210413_203510.jpg

Turning the black gear opposite the ladder articulates the steering. It works through a worm gear setup and linkages going to the fore and aft carbody. Turning radius is atrocious and everything is a bit floppy with heaps of backlash, but the concept is neat and I think it looks badass

    20210413_205054.jpg
    20210413_205107~2.jpg
    20210413_204113.jpg

The individual treats and roadwheel bodies also have limited articulation to traverse obstacles. Not the greatest, and it rubs a bit...

    20210413_204038.jpg

Next up is a small limestone mine built for a monthly challenge for my local club. This month's theme was to build a Micropolis module

Those are pretty freakin' schweet! I didn't even know there were vented triangle pieces like those you used for the conveyors.

    I call BS.

Got a VIP system is down notice from 9:00 - 9:15. Finally got through to the VIP Rewards site only to get this message:
"Sorry, but this reward is sold out."

    Will be pursuing further..

    Well, almost a success...

I have the reward code, but the site crashes every time I try to check out. Code should be good for 60 days so I may just need to wait for traffic to die down a bit, but I'm a bit paranoid that something will still go wrong. You know, because these things always work out flawlessly...

Did you guys take any screenshots of the site with the "site is down" message and a timestamp? Might help make your case

Tried checking out twice, got an error both times. Third time said the promo code was invalid, and my bank is now showing two pending charges from Lego (one is curiously $1.73 higher than the other, despite them being the exact same thing). I can't afford to sit on hold for customer service right now and haven't been thrilled with the delay in their email responses, so fingers crossed that at least one order has gone through.

No kidding. I love the crap out of their bricks but the website has always been hot garbage, especially the current VIP system.

You are too kind. Let me get right on that...
