I see the sight worked for scalpers. I was willing to pay $100 for it. However that isn’t happening.

Same happened to me. This sucks.

 

I bought 2 on black friday, as an investment. I can assume it will go the same route as other large sets and get really valuable when it gets discontinued

 

$50 for shipping....from anywhere is ridiculous. (Unless it's Antarctica.)

Y'all, my order went through. I dont know why it took an hour for me to get an email but my confirmation including the probe just showed up.

Right next door! Yea i didnt even know there was a lego thread on here and im loving it!

 

I have to be honest: I am a huge Lego fan but I am not enough of a fanatic to pay outrageous prices for a specific set.

since my son has gotten older and lost a bit of interest in it the only thing I am going to keep up with moving forward is the modular buildings. I still need to pick up the bookstore and the new police station.

since the basement flood we’ve boxed up 90% of the legos from our “lego room”.

it’s now been converted back to a craft room/office space.

it was fun while it lasted.

edit: I just looked and I started this thread 9 years ago. That’s a pretty good run.

Thanks, dude! Yeah, they've been releasing a slew of cool and useful parts over the last decade

I greatly appreciate Benny's offer, but this is likely a one-off, and Other Benny does not seem eager to give up the wheel just yet

Lego secondary market is nuts, no other way to put it. There are a couple long-retired sets I bought last year and have absolutely no regrets about, but MSRP alone on new stuff can often be difficult to swallow.

Sorry to hear about the demise of your Lego room. At least keep hanging out here with the rest of us nerds, and maybe you'll be able to break out more bricks than just the modulars somewhere down the road
