 I pop into this thread every so often, sometimes miss a month or so. Plus was away for 2 weeks in March that didn't help.

Ah well - next year! Plus I'm still way out of shape, would be a disaster. I'll probably end up down in Knoxville sometime this summer though for a long weekend bike and camp trip. There and UP Michigan are on my list this year.

let us know when! I won't be able to swing a 4 day trip like this one, but I'm only about 3 hours away and could show up late on a Friday to camp and ride the weekend.

Wheres the details on knoxville? I have family near knoxville, maybe I can bring my PC and work remotely for a week or 2.

edit: is this an open invitation kind of event? I'm not trying to crash people's plans

it is open invitation, though we only have the group site booked for camping and 10 already "committed" which is the maximum they allow.

Are there more spots available? Might solve the Jefftrailer issue before it's a problem.

    okay then!

The best weekend for me would be August 7-9, we still get a holiday Aug 9 BUT I would have to have my dog with me, she'd do the run no problem but adding a dog to a ride in a new area with a group - probably not.

    What about August 21/22 weekend?

I am dying, you have an absolute knack for date choices. That's the start of the 2nd of my family vacays.

I'll make it easy, it'll have to be September or later for me. Also, July/August are hot as balls down here during "summer" in case you did not know lol

Oh, I know - I love riding through chewy air. I'm weird. Sleeping overnight though could be shenanigans.

Okay - I'll look later in Sept/Oct once that time rolls around.

haha you are correct, you are weird. I wish I had the 120 degree dry summers of out west. I hate feeling like a dog down here because you get to where you can recognize people by the smell of their butt sweat.

Dry heat is nice, but I still tap out of rides if its over 90. Mainly because there's often little shade cover so you just bake the whole time.

Man, when I fly back home (VA) in the summer, it feels like a wet blanket gets put on me the minute I step off the plane.
