TPMS question

Does anyone know if it Tacoma's hold two sets of sensors in it's memory? Or do you have to have the tire shop learn the sensors everyone the wheels are changed over. Thanks in advance.

You can go to a shop, use the Carista app or TechStream, or a dedicated sensor scanner / programmer to swap Sensor IDs at home. With all but the scanner, you'll want to write down the existing Sensor IDs before making changes.

I believe you need to take note of the sensor ID's prior to adding them as well. Last I knew, Toyota wasn't able to just pick the sensors info up when adding. You had to specify what ID's to look for.

 

Ok thanks for the info. It wouldbe a good idea of they did accept a total of eight sensors. Oh well small price to pay to be riding in style lol.
