Yeah I guess I could, trying to remember what RPM I was holding at 65mph against that wind...probably mid 3ks so definitely had more to spare.

I drove from Cedar city to Salt Lake and back on I-15 and then went for a cruise down a small flat highway the following day at a nice steady 50mph and popped the same code.

 

Perfect excuse to add a SC haha

 

As someone with a supercharger also, I can tell you from experience you can still get the P0420 code lol.

@m3bassman @eon_blue. I've read lots of your comments throughout the super charger thread. Living at high altitude and running with an automatic transmission has me wanting a supercharger every time I hit a little hill. However this truck has 315,000 miles and needs a lot of maintenance before id feel safe throwing a SC on.

After all the work I just put into this truck? No way lol I might have considered it 3 weeks ago but your shit out of luck now.

 

Just waiting on the frame bushings for the leaf shackles and bilstein 5160's then I can torque everything down and put the bed back on.

Originally I was going to put the oe bumper and hitch receiver back on but I don't want to clean up any more rust so I'm thinking about building my own bumper

 

Ima be doing that next month hopefully. not welding, just painting/ bushings refresh.

 

seriously a roof rack KILLS your power so bad. I was totally shocked how shitty it impacted my truck when I had one. Folding the lights down helped a lot but still. God damn.

 

I hope it goes smoothly for you. I'm definitely using anti-seize while putting it back together

 

Yeah I had the 4 round lights mounted to the front as well which were basically a big air brake on top of the truck at highway speed.

Definitely noticed an improvement when I took the rack off. Now I just wish I hadn't drilled the damn roof to install it lol. Left the mounts on for now until I work up the guts to patch it up.

That truck just not be from down there, my 02 was clean when we brought it up to the northern part of the state

 

Spring cutting for me, everything but the rails is coming off, time for Chevy leafs and some new frame reinforcement

 

The next part of my project, unfortunately.
