You would think I had committed a hate crime when I posted pics of it on the Tacoma world fb page  people seem to think that that bushing can’t handle a few gravels being thrown at it and that it ruins the structural support of the cab. I’ve been running it like that for a good while now and no issues. It’s a lot easier to clean too, rather than having to aim the hose into the pocket and hope you get all the mud out.

I hate the 3rd gen cab mounts. They are so much harder to cut on with the extra reinforcement inside.

I was quoted $800 labor for a local shop to do this...... I see why but fuck that. I know how to run a grinder and Sawzall. Lol

Cab mount relocate is 5+ hrs?

That's shop price. My mechanic would take $400 cash all day long to do it at home.

Just like he did my CMC in about 2hrs. I told him going rate is about $200, he would do it all day long for that. He's my cousin so it was free work.

These guys make $30-40/hr, so thats good cash money.

I had mine like that for over a year and started seeing the corner bend. Not sure if it was from the tire rubbing it or when I jumped it in moab. Either way I had to do a relocate for 37s anyway.

So I ordered the Bora 1" spacer but I was thinking, won't I have to get shorter studs/cut my current ones so theres no overhang? And wouldnt 1" studs be kinda flimsy?

Best thing I would advise is give them a call when they open and ask them. They are really helpful on the phone.

Stock studs are smidge longer than .75". I have the .75" bora spacer and can use it b/c i have gaps or openings in the back of my Icon wheels.

You shouldn't have any problems but contact them or measure your stock studs or google it.

If stock studs are more than 1" then it could be a problem if your wheels doesn't have gaps for it.

Yeah I'll do that, sounds like it would be smarter for me to get a 1" spacer and then get 1" longer studs and replace them all around. PITA but sounds safer

You might be right. It was in Jan
that had this figured out for my wheels.

I cant imagine all the 1.25" spidertrax guys trimming their stock studs.

Stock studs only stick out a bit over .75inches.

    They are not 2.5inches long.

I used some sheet metal and cut to fit and seam sealed it. Be careful where you put sheet metal screws though...36A478B8-C588-455A-AC32-B9893C221BE4.jpg6928AF74-7E85-4E25-864C-66BF0885713C.jpg

Easy to smooth out and shape the seam sealant, not noisy, keeps the crap out. I relocated the intake to the cowl so I sealed it all up tight6A9B9D7A-D87E-40F8-9F20-69568A7B38CF.jpg
