    Hey everyone,

I just got my OME 886 and Dakar Med. Duty kit in today. Not installed yet but I've been reading reviews on them constantly and have built up some doubt about my purchase (as I always do).

I do plan on putting a bumper up front and adding weight so I went with the 886/90000 combo so as to future proof my process of building up this truck. But I worry about the ride quality as this is my daily driver. Since ride quality is subjective, I used to daily drive a WRX with a bit stiffer coilovers for almost 3 years and previously before that, an impreza also on coilovers. So I'm used to a stiff ass ride but I hope that the 886's aren't that stiff.

Any input from people with same experiences to ease my mind before I put this kit on? Thank you guys

If there is an existing thread with this kind of info, please link it and I'll just delete this post.

It never fails! Just as you're ready to go you read some questionable info and second guess yourself!!
I have the OME 888 with medium leaf pack and 90000 shocks on a 2021 SR5. Love the system and the ride. Feels like it should have from the factory IMO. Not really that stiff but just enough for my driving style. Handles corners better and I'm extremely satisfied with my investment.
This Saturday I'm installing new tires, going from 245/75-16 to 265/75-16 Wildpeaks and that should finish me off as far as suspension/tires.
    Good luck with your ride!

Thanks! I hope it's gonna be okay enough. If not, I may end up having springs swapped out, worst case scenario. I guess it's not the end of the world, I just overthink haha

I have the 886 and it is stiff. I have no bumper or armor. My spring perches are upside down so I think that I might have less stiffness because it is not lifted as much.

I am getting this same setup except with HD rears installed later this month. I have read story after story of sag in the front and rear with 888/887 coils and Medium Dakar rears. I don’t have any weight added currently either, but Dakar’s I can remove a leaf, coils I can add a bumper or swap them out for 150 bucks and sell the 886s.

Get it on, try it out, decide where to go from there. You could easily sell the 886 but if you plan on a bumper you’ll be fine.

Ive also been second guessing/re-reading so many posts. I’m confident it will be fine or easily corrected when I try it out.

true! I’m putting them on this next Saturday. I’m not as worried about it, everything can be changed if needed. I’ll report back with my thoughts!

I’m getting mine put on on the 30th. Glad I can live vicariously through your short term review and thoughts until then
