Starlink dish being tested on SN15. Mounted externally a bit more than halfway up.

It doesn’t look like they’re waiting on the Environmental Impact study to go forward does it?

Pitty the Poor guy who’s gotta sign for it.

 

SpaceX is proposing a 469' tall launch tower with 10' lightning rod to lift its new rocket and booster on the launch mount, and to catch the super-heavy booster upon return from launch. The tower will be constructed out of structural steel trusses to allow the mechanical arms to lift vehicles.

I like that ship. It could pass as something from a Star Wars movie. Perfect launch, perfect landing.

 

Saw a Shuttle launch but I really wanted to see a Saturn 5. Kinda night ‘n day difference.

Saturn V and Shuttle are both massively cool in their own ways IMHO.

I got to see STS-122 but from a distance. An indelible experience for me.

 

Yessir, was a guest with a Co. I worked for at the time. Think we were a subcontractor to a subcontractor or something like that. I hit the roof when I found out I could go. Even a some distance, the feelin’ of Power was incredible. Glad I was able to Witness one.

That's the one feeling that's hard to describe from a rocket launch. I saw a Falcon9 launch, and you could feel it from like 3 miles away.

 

I’ve been behind Power before. Competition Pullin’ Tractors & such. Big recip. Compressors in the OilPatch. All kinda stuff like that. Even some Crazy electrical power too. But the sound & feel of a Rocket pinned balls to the walls is like indescribable. You just gotta feel it. Can’t see how the Astronauts wouldn’t be goin’ YeeHaa just a bit.

The next man and first woman will be landing on the moon in a giant, white, lunar optimized HLS Starship...

There will be a demonstration landing first...

So NASA is now a partner not only in HLS Starship but SuperHeavy. Great practice for getting to Mars.

It’s gonna be wild seeing HLS and the ‘regular’ version of Starship develop.
