Lol I know Ivy and Oak, stuff is everywhere around me. Sumac only shows up around water though in my area...not sure if that's the case everywhere. I just recognize sumac by the red stem

I mean "immune to a poison" sounds pretty ridiculous haha.

You can have your sensitivity decrease though. I can rub oak/ivy on my hands/arms and maybe get like one little bump that'll pop up. My wife got into it in the flower beds once and her legs turned into like zombie corpse legs, disgusting.

    Just burn it off

(THAT'S A JOKE NEVER BURN IT....)

Yeah, some get it worse than others. My buddy growing up was on crutches after he walked through it barefoot, I get it "normal".

I'm pretty normal reactions to it, my brother used to pretty much have to get a steroid shot after exposure.

I've rolled around in the stuff and took a shower with dawn and been okayish.

It really is nice, makes packing for camping a breeze, I need to find a better security solution though I'm going to get a kryptonite bike chain in addition to the wheel lock I already have that came with the Equip D

Last night, under the influence of alcohol, I was going to pull the trigger on a 1 Up rack. But alas, they don’t have any in stock.

anyone here have good hand pumps that DON'T unthread your core on accident? I've never experienced it myself on my cores but I've seen it happen with my lezyne pump on my friends' cores...very annoying.

All jokes aside, here has been my experience with poison oak (and ivy, never experienced sumac as far as I know). I have lived my entire life in the Bay Area and never worried about poison oak. Probably rolled in it as a kid, and while my mom and sister often had it, not me. Ditto as an adult; was out many times where my wife and/or kids got it, not me. Then about 5 years ago, at the age of 59, I was clearing brush in winter, when the leaves are gone and it’s just twigs and vines, and got it. Bad. Massive rash, but even worse swelling. I went to a doctor and she said I was just hours away from the ER as the swelling was starting to impact circulation and nerves.

Since then, despite being much more careful, have got a bad PO reaction several more times, though never as bad, and I got a rash from poison ivy helping my father-in-law clear brush in western Mass. So if you’re “immune” now, great, but that may change over time. I do a lot of trail volunteer work here and the range of sensitivity to PO in our groups is amazing. We learn that tool handles and bike tires are almost as bad as the plant itself. By contrast, I’ve only had perhaps one or two bee or wasp stings in my life, and no ticks. At least not yet ...

Not that I saw. I tried adding to my cart and it wouldn’t allow me. It just gave me the option to join a wait list, which all that does is subscribe you to their email blasts.

    Wow, business is good.

I will say back when I ordered mine they had a 4-6 wait period and I still got my order shipping notification around week 3. So they aren’t wasting time.

    Who hurt you?

I actually think it looks pretty neat. I prefer the oil slick accents though and not a large component. That being said, I have none lol

today I learned this is a thing now in MTB. BMX used to do raw clear coat finishes some 10 odd years ago for the looks. I almost did mine. Might actually do it now that I have the adult tools to do it right.
