Swapped out the 2nd gen (due to rust issues) for a 21 sport

 

Since the world is full of negativity (it is almost a sport), I'll just say that I appreciate your videos. You do a nice job and make me feel like, hey, even someone who is all thumbs like me, could do those mods. So, thanks !

 

Installed today: Retrax XR bed cover (ordered over a month ago from a local dealer), Rhino Rack Vortex bars (from walmart.com), Yakima Skinny Warrior cargo basket (from fordpartsamerica.com), Yakima Locking Brackets (from quadratec.com). Still waiting on a BedRug BedTred Impact Bed Liner that I ordered a month ago from realtruck.com.

 

I bought Actiontrax and they worked with those as well

 

Put in the ARB recovery point today.

Actually spent most of the day in bed sleeping (thanks night shift!). But since I'm off today (Thursday), I'm gonna get out and take care of most (if not all) my small goodies. The items in the bed won't take no time. The seat covers and seat jackers prob will take a good bit of time.

Speaking of seat jackers, those came intoday.

Getting my truck summer ready by installing a DENY lock for my cooler. Can’t use a cable cutter to steal this yeti. Lock was pricey, but they make an ingenious system. The bottom nut has a breakaway nut when torqued so you are unable to unbolt the lock from under the truck. Only way would be with a saw or grinder.

Good eye, it's artificial turf

Most of the (small) backyard is stamped concrete so it doesn't make a lot of sense to have real grass in a little area like we have. Came with the house when we bought in Aug of last year.

 

It can be done alone, I did. The only bit that needs two people is getting it onto the bed after you have assembled it. Use a sturdy box or step so you can climb into the bed easily while holding it. Unless your pistol squat game is crazy strong, i.e. you can step flat-footed into the bed holding 70 lbs, a step will be required.

 

Looks great! The length of the Rhino Rack Vortex bars looks perfect. Is it 59 or 65 inches?

 

We have matching bed racks... though mine is like the low budget crackhead version.... I made my own bed bars, and I got the generic Amazon skinny rack for $90.
