Funny you should mention this, because it's exactly what I do, but people still end up parking in the spot directly next to my truck despite there being plenty of other parking spaces. When I used to work at bar, the general manager sent me to the grocery store for various items. I parked my truck in the empty far reaches of the parking lot, and when I came back out there was this sedan parked so close to my truck that I could barely get to the driver's door; To make matters worse, there was a rather unfriendly dog in the aforementioned sedan...

The owner had left the windows down and every time I'd try to get in my truck, the dog would stick her head out the window and growl at me. My truck was packed full random crap and I didn't feel like climbing across from the passenger side, so I unlocked the passenger door and laid on the horn; Amazingly, this scared the dog into submission and she cowered on the other side of the car. I was able to get in my truck without issue.

As if on cue, the owner (this older guy with an Irish or Scottish accent) came out to his car and I rather annoyedly admonished him for (A) parking so close to my truck, and (B) leaving the windows all the way down with an unfriendly dog in the car.

    He's like "Oh, she's not mean; She's a sheepdog..."

I just drove off in frustration...

I am far from being Caesar Milan, but I know a thing or two about dogs; I've owned three of them myself, and I once volunteered at a dog rescue. I have been bitten by dogs before, and I am still not afraid of them. When you work at any kind of shelter, getting bitten is a fact of life; However, shelters have liability insurance and the dogs are all vaccinated, and unless I start bleeding uncontrollably I don't give a shit.

That said, just because a dog is a specific breed doesn't mean it is going to automatically be friendly or mean; I've never personally met a mean Pit Bull, but I've encountered a Labrador who was abused by the previous owners and did not like strangers in the slightest. I did not know this dog's background or, more importantly, if it had up-to-date shots; The owner was a moron!

I am so confused. Why don't you just fix the damage? it seems incredibly minor? almost any body shop/PDR should be able to fix this and have it look 100% and for cheaper than buying a new bumper, which seems like a really really overkill solution for this.

It's not fixable; when the truck got hit back in September the entire bumper had to be replaced. If it were painted bumper, it likely could have been salvaged, but the insurance company of the woman who hit me opted to replace the entire thing. I took it to the body shop that has repaired my truck on three separated occasions (all of them the fault of the other motorist), and the owner said the bumper could not be repaired...

Yup..my bike has bigger tires almost.

Friend of mine had one in college, I asked where the condenser was. He lifted the hood and showed me. I said no, that's too small for a refridgerator on wheels

A variety of on line sellers have this one. Good fit with a textured surface. 48648B6B-FD35-4541-9469-9FFA8CC69DE9.jpg I’m considering an Avid bar but it would partially block my front plate on its drop bracket. The other challenge is the light bar brackets don’t leave a lot of thread on the crash bar studs where the Avid bar mounts.

There is always the option of a railroad tie bumper, there affordable, there easy to modify, they repel termites,
they do not dent or retain permanent scratches. Most repair work on them can be achieved with sandpaper, wood stain or linseed oil. Don’t think prefab aftermarket bumpers are the answer. Especially if you have experienced bumper damage before.

If you like this one, but want more wrap around, could try looking for a custom fabricator to make one. Although it may end up more spendy than off the shelf. My only hesitation with something like this would be if it got hit in the front, it could bend up and damage the plastic bumper cover behind it, which is the original issue

CarParts.com Either the factory fogs or led pods will work.

My friend is a much better detailer than I am, and I’m paying him $150 to detail my truck on Monday!

That sounds awesome! I spent 3 days last week messing around detailing my truck, it hadn't been cleaned like that in a couple years and hated driving it in the rain today.

So Tacoma is getting a Tundra? Love it!

I got a yellow Power Wheels Jeep CJ from my uncle when I graduated from preschool in 1994.

My circa 2015 iPod Nano shit the bed over a year ago and I started using my iPod Touch to play music in the truck. That started literally crashing my head unit every day or two (though the last week or so it’s been fine), so once another stimulus check came in I said screw it and bought a new iPod; 128 gig, biggest iPod I’ve ever had in terms of song capacity!

After thinking about it, I think I’m just gonna buy an OEM bumper cover and put it on there; The one that’s on there now is not an OEM bumper because the insurance company of the woman who hit me was trying to cut costs in any way possible. Even my own insurance company didn’t give me an OEM rear bumper after the drunk driver hit me in 2015 because my truck was more than two years old!

I didn’t complain that time because my insurance company ate the cost of fixing damage to my truck caused by someone else, and didn’t charge a deductible or raise my rates.
