Installed some Greenlane Off Road rock sliders and Alpharex Taillights. Very pleased with the outcome.

Nice job. That’s what I did when I had a Jeep JKU. That overhead winch will come in handy for other projects too.

Well that just sucks having to replace the glass. A small piece of plywood between the cab and the bed might prevent this in the future.

    Totally.

Mostly comes down to not wanting to unbolt all the pieces as I should have since it's awkward between the glass and the front of the rack.

Cheating with steel near windows can create issues... who knew ;)

A Fifth wheel camper, turned tightly, will do this also. Guess how I know.

I’ve been thinking about a setup like this. Can’t figure out if I want to go manual or electric since it’ll just be the tent (125lbs) I’m lifting up there. Do those electric winches hold it well enough once it’s up or did you put a safety cable on it also?

Installed all of it myself in my driveway. After assembling the Retrax, I placed it on the tailgate with the rails pointing skyward. Then climbed into the bed from the side and lifted it up onto the bedsides.

Good on you. I don't have the tools or the expertise to make my own, otherwise I may have taken a crack at it. Also, I'm always concerned about stuff being stolen so everything I got locks down. I know it won't stop the serious thief, but should keep things safe from those who see an easy opportunity for free stuff.

If you're doing just the tent I'd suggest something like I'm using.

    https://www.hoister.com/How-to-Choose-a-Hoister/
    https://www.amazon.com/Hoister-Dire...hild=1&keywords=7806.12&qid=1618504572&sr=8-6

    Mine's the 7806.12 (4 point, 200lb limit) and i'm lifting a smittybilt XL RTT

0 issues lifting the tent off and on solo. In my current setup I added a couple safety chains that cross under it just in case the rope was to slip free from it's clamp/where the slack is wrapped on the wall.

I hit reset on the mods list. I got rear ended and totaled on 03/29/2021. Picked up the new truck on 04/13 with 2 miles on the odometer!

Damn that sucks, looked like a nice truck! Hopefully there weren’t any bad injuries.

    Congrats on the new truck!

Thank you. Luckily no one was hurt. It sucked to see her go out like that but I am definitely happy with my new truck. Also got the 4x4 mod in the process since my 05 was 2wd.

Installed new fogs. Thanks @memario1214 for taking the time to discuss my lighting setup and for the great service with the Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro Amber fogs. Can't wait to test them tonight.
