What headers do you guys recommend I should installed on my 1996 Tacoma 2wd?
    any links will be appreciated.

It seems that people are buying the pace-setters brand.

    what else is out there?
    any recommendations will be grateful.

    thank you,

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
If you have a built up motor, then go for it; if not, don’t bother. Spend your money somewhere else IMO

96 2wd.. are you the 2.4L motor? If so you can upgrade to the 2.7L header from an 01-04 tacoma. I did that to get rid of the crappy cast manifold on my 98

Otherwise headers aren't worth it unless you've put alotta money into beefing up the motor for power

R&D and manufacturing for something that is a somewhat niche product isn't cheap.

I bought ebay stainless headers for the 3.4l and they're a hunk of shit. I wish I had paid the DT or JBA tax to get header that fit, don't leak, and don't require adjustments.

What are you trying to do with it?

Headers are good as part of a larger package of power adders (most notably a turbo), but they don't do much otherwise except make it FEEL like you have more power (i.e. noise), like my stupid K&N "cold air" intake.

Headers are Cool just having the decal adds 10 Horsepower .

Really unless your increasing the Air through the Engine via over sized valves or Forced induction they just look pretty

Yeah, I just wished for the cost you get more than ~5hp over stock, and even less over a good cat-back exhaust, so unless I go with a Supercharger and bigger throttle body Etc. The cost isn’t worth it IMHO.

All the above are really good inputs, also good info.
The sound of the engine that has all this air restrictions sounds horrible, I thought adding headers, intake will make the car breathe a whole lot better with zero to minimum restrictions, I believe the feel will be more of a relief. I could be wrong.

I was gonna do Ebay headers but after doing some research I decided not too, horrible reviews.

Reducing the restrictions isn't going to give you hardly any more power. While there are restrictions, they are already minimal for the power it is capable of in its current form. It's like breathing thru a straw is very restrictive for an adult human, but it's no problem for a mouse. We drive the mouse, lol.

If you want more power, you just need to force the air into it with one of those spiny whinny things.

Although a mouse might be a little insulting.

Maybe a rabbit is more analagous.

@Wulf has a thread on here somewhere that documents his Ebay header experience pretty well...you're doing the right thing by avoiding them lol

If I may suggest... stay away from the Thorley headers sold by anyone.
I went with Thorley on my 3rz due to the fact that the Thorley piece came alumi-coated and did drop under hood temps. Problem is, they crack in many places and the coating is lame. The tubing is thin also.
At the time, not knowing this, I went with them because in this shithole state of CA, it costs more to alumi-coat my OEM header than to simply purchase the Thorley unit.
Going backwards, I took my OEM header, cut off the unneeded brackets and smoothed it out, painted with hi-temp VHT ceramic paint, no issues.
    Good luck.
