Anybody think they’ll sell many of these things? Maybe buy one for the wife? I think I would probably purchase a Ridgeline before I would purchase one of these. But I’m guessing my wife would like one. Might not be bad as a second car though.

    What you guys think?

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
Still looks better than a Ridgeline.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
looks to be a unibody, so not really a truck.

I’m not a fan of the front end/headlights but other than that it’s not bad. It’ll be good competition for the Ridgeline and upcoming Ford Maverick.

If I went to the Hyundai dealer this would be the one I want. Hyundai builds great vehicles.

Edit if I was in the market for a Bronco Sport this would get my attention.

Looks terrible IMO but I don't think I'm the target for this lol. Looks like the back window is one solid piece, be cool if it rolled 4runner/tundra style

2021 version of the Subaru Brat. It will probably be a decent people mover with reasonable homeowner hauling capacity. All while not throwing off redneck truck owner signals, so Karens won't be triggered

I think many people in the crossover segment are tired of the SUV look. This will have buyers who don't really want a new crossover looking at a new crossover.

Lots of compromises, and most of the innovation seems to relegated to its "bold styling."

Drivetrain and fuel economy is MEH at 22/28/24. It will be difficult to get a fiberglass shell on the back if that's your jam. The wheels are huge with not much rubber.

If it were all electric I'd consider it.

I don’t get it for a second vehicle. If you want a bed out of your second vehicle, why not get an access cab mid size and actually have some usable bed length? To me a 4 door pickup exists only because you are trying to avoid having a second vehicle.

Looks to me like a Ridgeline had it's way with a Forester!

Definitely gives off that Brat/El Camino vibe to me, with the styling. I guess the mullet is coming back too; Should pair well together for the average hipster looking to ditch their fixie.

I agree, but it’s literally pictured Off-Road. Lolol

If I just needed something with a truck bed, and didn’t actually need a truck, I would get an El Camino.

That being said, I’m sure someone somewhere will buy it.

I honestly kind of like it for what it is. Make an N version with that 3.3T from the stinger/g70 and i'm down.

Hyundai is adamant that this is not a truck. They keep saying it’s a “sport adventure vehicle” which I think slots in where the Subaru Baja/Brat used to be. Also I would prefer this over the Ridgeline any day
