I agree, I've been looking for about 2 years now. I'm ready to move to the cabin and get the hell outta Baltimore tho. Once I sell my house here in Baltimore co. I'll be able to afford to take a pay cut. Mortgage at my cabin is cheap.

I was switched at the hospital as a newborn and know in my heart I should be rich doing nothing all day but lying in the sun, toes in the sand, drink in my hand. I hate working. Any kind of work.

For the hell of it, I looked up Merriam's definition of Work. It was too much work to read it all.

Ironically, I have had so many freaking jobs. Beginning at the age of like 14, not in any particular order........paper route, stocking the cold boxes in a bar, marina boat refinisher, alter boy - no pay but the wine was good, construction - general contractor laborer, cook - multiple jobs at various places, hooker, deli clerk, drug dealer, security guard, telemarketing, cadd operator - multiple times/places, busboy, liquor store, caterer.......I'm sure I am missing some other ones.

Growing up as a poor, troubled, inner city youth, from a broken home I had no ambition. I hung out on the street corners with my friends getting into trouble all the time. Then I joined the french foreign legion, but just for the cool hat and that was a mistake. I wish I had joined a union as a skilled worker when I was younger. I would be retired right now. As it is I am up to my teeth in debt and will likely die making someone else rich.

I have been unemployed too, twice, and that really blows.

Fortunately I have a loving wife, a dog, (some) decent family members, and great friends. Oh, and I'm Irish, Italian and German so there's that. I have manners, am polite, and respectful to others and myself. I'd give anyone the shirt off my back if they were in need.

Life's too short to be mean or inconsiderate, or grumpy about the choices I made so I live every day like it's my last. I work hard and I really play hard.

There used to be that massive Mack production plant, which I think, became a Volvo manufacturing plant in hagersville. There's a small Northrup Grumman facility where Fairchild Industries used to be located. ( they built the airframes of the A-10's)

Love my diamond back, extremely pleased with the quality of the cover. Ive used it a few times for weight on top and strapped down. The smooth surface stands up well to scratching and use! Im in no way mechanically inclined and the directions were super easy to follow and install took about 1.5 hrs with a buddy a few miller lites! I also have the tray insert that works under the cover and love that as well!

I don’t remember what the 2nd Gen interior looks like but matching with MGM to match your paint would look good I’m sure.

Anyone think it would “not” be worth it to get the assateague island pass and maybe only get out there once during during the year period? I see there is no day pass or anything besides the year pass for 110.
I’d also have to get the needed recovery gear, as a chick fila crawler I don’t have any of that stuff...
I’ll be that way the end of June.

All they require is something like a 12x12 square of plywood, jack, tow rope, etc. Full list is on their web site. They have never checked me.

I have been out there to AINS a bunch of times. It's worth it IMO...but only if you go in off-peak times. Last summer and all thru covid 2020, the beach 4x4 got immensely popular, which has led to some overcrowding issues (which is probably why they stopped offering the day pass). Only like 145 trucks can be on the beach at once, and people last year had reported getting there at 7am on a Saturday and waiting in line in the heat for 4 hours BEFORE they even get on the beach. NOT my cup of tea!

But, if you have work flexibility to go midweek and/or after peak season (fall/winter), I would def buy an annual pass for that. That's what I do:thumbsup:

Good to hear, I’ve got the list and I guess the only things I need are a shovel and snatch strap. I’ll probably get a tow rope while I’m at it plenty of boards and I think the bottle Jack with extra 2x4 will work. I’ve also got Treadz from my Iron Man lift.

I’ll be there and should be able to check it out on a Thursday, Friday and Monday. Friday might only be good if not busy. Thanks for the heads up.
