whell studs to short

    custom cold air intake 4 inch tubing, MBRP dual catback exhaust, readylift leveling kit with 265/75-17 on eagle alloy rims
    so just installed the spacer lift and my wheel studs seem alot shorter, its not a huge problem, i easily got the wheels on. just worried about them being weak

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    spacer lift and wheel studs are not in the same realm, unless i'm missing something

    your spacer" lift " has nothing to do with the wheel studs.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    I'm guessing he put on spidertrax or other wheel spacers. I would suggest a shanked lug nut.

    i know thats why im as confused as you guys are.... would the diff drop have anything to do with it? maybe the axels or something?

    no...the wheel studs and hub area are non affected by spacer lifts, diff drops, etc.

    Chances are they were that way when you removed the wheels, you just didn't notice it.

    I would. Your lug nuts must have at least the depth of the diameter of the studs or you risk the lugs failing under serious load. And my guess is with the lift on, you're going to get a bit more ambitious with bumps etc.

    Fix it right and at the lest, get shanked lugs, or longer studs.

    No really, if you look closely, the back of the wheel studs ARE connected to the top of the shock. As you lengthen the shock with the spacer, it pulls on the wheel stud, making it appear shorter. :D
