Completely not true. Just like the Bilsteins, no matter what setting the ride is the same. I have two tacomas on different settings, same lift, tires and completely identical other than one is a long bed and shortbed. Also a one inch block is not going to cause any problems unlike running a four inch block. My tacomas ride better than they did stock.

The needle bearing is not a big deal. I had mine done with zero issues on both mine and my son's truck. The compressing of the spring is another misunderstood issue. I won't go there, as the strut has perches to get the lift. Also think about the weight on the springs when the vehicle is sitting on its own weight. A one inch or a 1.5 tapered block is just fine. Again another internet mechanic repeating what they read. A small block is fine and in fact it's going to ride the same where an aal will make it a little rougher, not a lot. The small life your doing is just fine. Enjoy it!

    A few.
I installed a 1 inch rear lift block on mine last year and it rides exactly the same as it did before. If I was gonna do a lift higher than 1 1/2" in the rear then I would use an AAL or new leaf pak.

Years ago, I installed an AAL from Wheelers on my 2006 tacoma access cab. It was supposed to give a 2 inch lift, it ended up raising the rear 2 3/4". I had more rake than stock and my rear shocks were over extending.

That grille is a huge improvement over stock. Curious if there is much difference in the ride?

Well I think that can be debated and you’re probably right but id throw that one away and get one that’s more user friendly and maybe splits the number directly over the line

Looks great!! Where did you get the red TRD grille emblem? Looks like it matches the wheel center caps perfectly.

Yeah, the more I look at the grill more I like it.
If I had to say something about how the ride changed, I’d probably say it’s a tiny bit softer. I just noticed the front dive a little bit deeper when I hit the brakes hard. I really haven’t beat on it stock or lifted yet so take that for what it’s worth.

The emblem is produced by another member on the site, @tacos4cheap. Really impressed with the quality of it. This is the link to the thread I found it in. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/color-matching-trd-grille-badges.674304/

I figured I’d like to retain my warranty so I went with the full kit and the dealer installed it. I believe they allowed themselves around 7 hours to install the suspension and calibrate the sensor and camera. They only moved a couple hundred bucks off of the advertised price which I think was around $3000. It was all rolled into my purchase price of the truck.

Wow on used trucks it’s only a 1 year warranty? Ridiculous.
