Interesting you mean the base once it becomes a booster? My kid isn't evening weighing enough to turn him around front yet so I haven't actually seen how that works in practice....edit yeah I see the base doesn't remove for booster... Makes sense that would cause issue like you say.

This...I'm sure there is a good reason, like keeping the seat belt across the shoulder at the proper height. We got one that basically doesn't have the swinging adjustable base. My daughter is 4 and will turn 5 in a few months. I know they say that seat is good up to 10 years old. Maybe my daughter is just a giant, but there is no way she will be in that car seat at 10 years old. I've come to the (possibly foolish) conclusion that parents who keep their kids in those seats until 10 are a bit on the paranoid and over-protective side. Or maybe they have dwarf children. IDK and IDC...I'm guessing mine will be sitting in the seat like an adult by age 7 give or take.

3" lifted Rough Country struts, a little less than 10k miles on them, and never taken off-road. Took them off because I switched to a spindle lift. Retail is $329, I'm asking $225. Local Zip: 30093

    FREE Brake pads!!!

Any TW members the metro Atlanta area need brake pads? If so, come and get 'em (Stone Mountain). Brand new, never used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O6PW620/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8

I believe they'll work for 2nd & 3rd gen 6 lug Tacomas, but double check your specific model here: https://www.powerstop.com/product/power-stop-z23-evolution-brake-pads/#y=2019&mk=TOYOTA&mo=TACOMA

It was great to meet a fellow TW member. Alan's Tacoma is slick!! He even helped me identify an annoying front squeak.

    Enjoy your new brakes.

Good info @Bizz. Don't skimp on a good car seat. Years ago my wife got hit in the right rear by a car the ran a traffic light. Spun the car going through the intersection and when it hit the curb it flipped and slid over 50 feet on the roof. Blew out the back window with our 3 year old in the back seat. Her seat held her securely in place and luckily she came out of the accident with only a scratch on one finger. Got very lucky but the car seat did its job. You never know what's going to happen when on the road so best to be prepared for the worse.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I may have one lying around that came off my 4runner
