Morning Fellas. Hope everyone has a nice day even though it's raining.

 

Going to beavers bend in July. Does anyone know the location of the "secret hole" it looks like a great swimming hole.

Last time I was at BB was nearly 20 years ago. Back then the state park had a weird policy where they refused to take care of their raccoon problem, and it was beyond rampant. It would be better described as a "plague of raccoons." While I was defending my food box from the little bastards, another gang walked off with my bag of charcoal. They straight up dngaf if you were there or not, they had the numbers on you, they knew it, and they were going to have their tribute one way or another. I was lucky that had enough rope and duck tape to secure my food box lid and hang it from the tree. I could hear them taking out their frustrations on it all night though. By morning the rope was chewed through, and they had almost gotten through the duck tape straps. A classmate on the same trip figured hers would be safe if she stored it in the back seat. Unfortunately she didn't think to lock the car, and by morning they had thrashed everything like a damn bear.


Never seen anything like it before or since. That trip is the reason why a small rustle or a quiet animal chatter will make me sit bolt upright in bed, to this day.

My suspension picked a fine time to need replacement when everything is on a crazy back order. I’m tempted to just trade the thing in...

I’m pretty sure my FIL shot a skunk in a SP with his 9mm pistol once. I can’t confirm this because I wanted to maintain plausible deniability, but I’m pretty sure that’s what went down....

Been there many times and the coons never bothered us too much. However one night my buddy and I were getting settled in camp after fishing and making dinner. Kept hearing something in the site next to us but our neighbors were not back yet. After 30 mins or so we walk over and 4 coons run out of their tent. They chewed a hole in it, ripped the hinges off their cooler and strung the contents all over the inside of their tent.
