Especially since a lot of that trail is on the ridge with some pretty steep drops on either side...

Going to be going out next Sunday morning (4/18) with a coworker of mine’s 3rd gen. I’m thinking sheep creek truck trail, but haven’t nailed that down yet. Anyways, all are welcome to join us.

Update: My coworker flaked out. I still want to run the trail since it's scenic and easy from what I read. Most people do it in 2wd, so if anything I'll probably solo it. Lmk.

It's extremely easy...I'm waiting for a buddy to confirm hitting pilot rock that same day. If he doesn't? I'll join you Lone Ranger. If we end up going, you're more then welcome to come, if you want?

How narrow does pilot rock get? I've heard and seen great things about it, but with lt and fiberglass I'm worried about getting squeezed.

You should be fine I remember some tie squeezes but that's only cause I was going up while they're coming down

If you stick to the main Pilot Rock trail you'll be fine.

At the beginning there is a gatekeeper for the 4x4 Pilot Rock trail on the left, you'll know it when you see it. That particular trail has a lot of narrow sections.

But the main 2wd trail most are familiar with should be fine. At a certain point it intersects and meets up with the 4x4 trail, but if you stick to the fire road and not the offshoots you'll be good

Yeah as Ryan said above, it’s not too bad. I only remember the 4x4 trail being tight in a few places with trees. For the most part, it’s open. You’d be fine.
