Long time no see everyone. A little update for y’all. Found out my left front strut is leaking... which means? Yep, time to find new suspension... I mainly drive on road BUT I do a good amount of off roading (forest roads, and overlanding is my hobby). I definitely want to overland a lot more this summer since last year was my first taste of it and loved it. With that being said, more aggressive trails would be nice to try. But I wont be rock crawling. Kings are out of my budget so don’t recommend them LOL (unless someone of you guys want to donate a set... just kidding!) What about icon stage 2? I have bilsteins 5110 right now. TRD PRO BAJA edition original suspension.

But please reply with some ideas! Thank you!

Bilstein or OME. Seen a good amount of forum members trying out IronMan4x4 FoamCell suspension and seems to be pretty well received.

Fox, Icon, ADS, and Elka are all prob out of the budget if King is

Bilstein 6112's or the new Eibach Pro Truck has my vote.

Whoops, yeah icon's 2.5 coilovers are within budget. stage 2 is just the coilovers/rear shocks plus an AAL. Certainly a quality setup, lots of the raptor guys are running icon suspensions. I personally would prob opt for the full leaf pack, but depends on your uses. I have a lot of weight, an AAL might be plenty for you. You may need a new UCA for clearance, not too familiar with icon myself unfortunately
Eibach is a big spring manufacturer, they made the TRD springs in our baja suspension and are usually paired with bilstein kits i believe. someone please correct me if I'm wrong

EDIT: I don't think you'd need a new UCA unless you got extended travel, stage 2 looks to be OEM travel so you should be fine

boom, yeah you should be just fine with icon's stage 2 then. do a bit more research into their digressive valving, they seem to be very hit or miss for members on here. i've also heard their customer service leaves something to be desired but it could just be standard forum woes and not a significant issue

Yeah I see a good amount of people with issues and such. But it makes me wonder whether the issues are as prevalent as it seems, or are we just victims to the forum, seeing the issues more frequently so it seems worse?

My brother likes to hit Glamis/Pismo with a lot of the Expedition X Offroad crew which is primarily raptors, and he says they have all mostly migrated over to Icon from King on the lower end. Not sure if that's because Icon is a solid competitor, it's a marketing push, or that's just what Raptor guys tend towards, but he says they all love their suspensions so I have to imagine they're doing something right. He still swears by Kings though, as he should since he's got at least 8 of their shocks on his truck lol

If i could get kings I definitely would. Very true, plenty of people have Icon's so why do people keep going with Icons if all these people have issues lol. What about fox’s level 2? Do you know anybody with them?

Don't know anyone personally, but I can't imagine you could go wrong. They've been building suspensions forever, and are the current producers of the TRD pro suspensions right now. But I have heard again their customer service is lacking, and rebuild turnaround times take some time, if either of those matter to you. Haven't heard anything bad about the product itself, other than most people recommending upgrading to the dual compression adjusters from the start lol. but i think that'll price em out of your budget

Out of curiosity, are you getting out of your '18 Pro, or just adding to the fleet?

Well, I traded the 18 Pro in for a 2018 Raptor. I’m now looking for a second truck and I’ve always loved the 2015 Pros. I’ve had two 3rd gens and can’t stand the 3.5! The pro was a six speed and was much better than the auto 16 Off road, but the 4.0 still runs better and no gear hunting.
Now I’m looking for a white or Inferno 15 Pro.

Gotcha. Thanks for answering. I was wondering that, but didn't want to offend the 3rd gen. I test drove a 3rd gen when they first came out and I was immediately turned off. Good luck with your search. They are out there, but will likely require patience and a large radius of location.

Thanks! Yeah, 2nd gen all day! The only thing I liked about the 3rd gens were the interior and technology.
    Did you find one?
