Scored my Grail Rifle Sunday

Been looking for a pre ban Norinco AK for a few months. I bid on one Saturday, but stopped when it passed $2,300.

I ran a WTB ad on the local buy, sell, trade site. Woke up Sunday afternoon...had a really good Saturday night and had a text from a dude I'd done some trading with in the past. He offered me a deal I could never walk away from.

I never dreamed I'd own a Polytech, much less a one owner absolutely flawless, never once fired Polytech spiker. It came with 2 Poly mags with the chrome followers, which I've heard are hard to come by.

It's perfect, but I'm gonna have to shoot it.

I wanted a Saiga 12 for years. Then their import got banned. Then in 2014 I was at a pawn shop and he had a basic one on the rack. I asked and he said it was new old stock. His distributor found it hidden on a shelf at their warehouse. So I scooped it up. Still new unfired and in the box. Had a few shells cycled through it to make sure the 10 rounders functioned I got for it. Added a basic sling just because.


My AK is Romanian. Picked it up on a whim. Shot a few nanner clips worth and packed it away as well. Maybe one day they’ll turn a tidy profit.

 

Bought this Maadi a week after buying the Polytech. I'm thinking about buying a Norinco underfolder, or maybe one of those Zastava ZpapM92 AK pistols and stamping it as a SBR.

May as well get them while you can.

Then I saw it was a Polytech, and was like "this is fine."

 

Maybe some day.

 

Picked up this milled Hungarian 63D a couple days ago.

Last gun I'm gonna buy this year.
