I’ll post these around town. I sub several threads on switches and wiring but haven’t come across this gem before. “Learn something new everyday”, priceless. I know a lot of members don’t like tapping wires and this is perfect. I’m not so diffident but if I’d known about it before it would have been my first choice. Thanks.

    I got prices. 12340 is around $5 a lot cheaper than 24380
I have a site where you can get just the terminal for even cheaper.

Maybe people will think this is silly- and maybe it is silly... but I still got excited about it!

I threw a couple of color-changing led strips in the footwells.

This was my first wiring project, so it felt intimidating at the beginning, though it actually was pretty straightforward.
I used an add-a-fuse to the interior fuse box for the power outlet and added a 2 amp fuse to the accessory slot. Wired that into a bluetooth controller and a toggle switch and grounded it behind the kick panel. From there it was just plug and play, a few zip ties and good to go! Forced me to learn a little bit about beginner circuitry and now I'm feeling confident to wire up the dome light and high mount third brake light to the topper I just purchased.

    How fun!

Put on some new tires yesterday. It's finally time to take the winter tires off here.

Yeah I pre drilled holes and used some stainless hardware with lock nuts. After I got everything sorted I went back and filled the holes with rtv around the bolts/wires to prevent rubbing or movement and also not let in water. There’s also this rubberish mat that’s meant to sit behind a license plate to prevent rattle that I got on Amazon. Used that behind the plate.

I snapped a couple quick pictures this morning of my new mirror. The temp was 35 and it would show the temperature, then "ICE" every couple seconds.
    Liking my new mirror.

Paint was fading and clear coat was chipped all over the place so I decided to hit the roof with some raptor liner.

    20210416_133045.jpg

Sanded down the roof several times with 120 grit and taped everything off.

    20210416_133012.jpg

First coat dried in an hour then applied a thick second coat and left out in the sun to bake.

    20210416_133220.jpg

Very happy with the final product. I've seen guys do this and thought it seemed like a pretty straight forward DIY. The roll technique was a little messy but since I didn't have a spray gun it was my only option. Nice to have a roof that isn't constantly flaking anymore.

    20210416_152310.jpg

Was thinking about possibly doing the same to the camper to match but maybe another time. Fun project for the day. Thoughts on doing the camper? Happy Friday TW
