Did this ever procure? Looking for a utilitarian approach to possibly change up my setup.

I'm thinking about ordering the EVOa Adventure now and ordering the new latches when they come out. I'm completely unfamiliar with this kind of stuff so I apologize for the question, do you know if it's going to be like I need to dismantle the thing and I'm replacing an entire wall of the cap or is it like a small component I'm just popping out and installing a new latch on?

Based on my latches you should be just popping out the old ones and putting in the new ones when they come out.

You'd just be changing out the latch. You can swap them out while the cap is installed on the truck. Very simple to change them out once RSI finally has new latches.

    Yes, exactly!

    Those are fittings, not rusted.

If I’m running LED taillights do I need a different connector for the brake light on the camper? Also I’ve seen a couple times that a prinsu will fit on top of the EVOa but I haven’t seen anything solid on it. Anyone get one to fit?

You need a connector with 3 conductors.

Install is of the actual canopy is pretty straight forward. I would suggest plugging up all the holes and seams in the bed and tailgate areas to help keep dirt and water out before putting the canopy on.

Also, I added edge trim to the lip on the rear hatch. Just after opening the hatch a couple times, I was getting annoyed with how painful it was scraping my hand against it so on the way home from the truck cap dealer I stopped at Autozone.

Anyone consider getting their cap wrapped or painted? I'm thinking about getting mines wrapped to color match in white if ever decide to buy one of these caps. Just waiting on a quote for the wrap.

I’m quite happy with the black on my quicksand but maybe a black multicam wrap might be nice.

Outstanding mod. I will be doing the same thing ASAP. That odd edge on the hatch hurts!

Yea, this has been referenced a few times. I think I have some similar pictures in my gallery. I second guessed my torque wrench and ended up using 3 different ones before I accepted that is the outcome of tightening it down to their specifications.

I haven't looked at the instructions in a while - is 9 ft-lbs the suggested torque for the Toyota specific install, or is that recommendation under the generic section of the installation instructions? Also I've asked this before but don't recall an answer, how does 9 ft-lbs compare to how much other caps are tightened down to?
    This is brilliant. Great tip.
