Horrible camera skills for starters and the front seems a little soft to be doing that.

 

They got a lot of praise that day - it’s a relatively new build so I’m sure they’re still dialing it in for whatever they use it for

I think left is factory based on the green sticker on the shaft and the brown grease on the inner joint but I'm not 100%.

 

I was going to say left on the green sticker as well. I remember my oem shafts having stickers.

 

Made some progress this weekend and got the rear axle welded up. Took the rear brakes apart and got the old axle out. Next is stripping the leafs and installing the trussed axle for cycling.

 

Looks good. Was that a kit or diy truss?


Side update on my axle and truck shit. Rotors drilled, brakes mounted. Gonna wait to run hard lines until I cycle things with the new axle in just to make sure there aren’t any clearance issues. But we got a roller!

 

It's a heavily modified RS Mini Truss for the 8" Toyota axle. If I were to do it again, I'd find someone who makes the appropriate truss. Way too much time into fitment getting this to work IMO.

9" RS truss works also - @SilverGhost did one - this is one I gave to @Anthony250 in a trade for help on my truck that took a little work he said to make fit also. No one makes a 8.4 truss that I've seen so far - could be a good moneymaker
