Doesn’t help that I drive like I’m on fire most of the time.. but it’s not a daily so MPG’s don’t super matter until I take off for the beach and can’t get there with a tank... regear is definitely needed though.. I want lockers when I do that, and can’t decide on front locker or no.

All depends on how far and what you want to do. No matter what the more power going to the ground the easier obstacles become. The question really is are you willing to spend the coin if you don't think you'll do anything more than dickey belle at URE

I’m regearing and doing a rear for sure.. the real question is do I feel the need for a front locker and risk breaking axles and diffs more often? I don’t mind pulling winch a bit. I haven’t done dickey bell so idk how it is.. but I do plan on a lot more windrock trips. That place was incredible

I want something for family road trips. Lexus on 34’s is getting 14mpg at 75mph. Been thinking about a Highlander or Honda Pilot but when I crunch the numbers it’s better to just suck it up and pay for the gas.

You'll only break axles and diffs if you do things that'll cause it. Like I've broken a few axles but I'm turned full lock and the front bounces some. You don't do things to push the limits and you won't break. Personally I haven't seen a front diff break even with RCVs or chromoly shafts so I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

I could go back to 31’s and drive 70mph and still only get 17-18mpg. These things just like gas.

That’s terrible. Sell it to me.

I have a lead on an 88 DLX that is MINT. But, it’s in Texas. Fuck

My wife wants a Jeep LJ and I’m highly considering it.

What’s your thoughts behind an LJ? I like them but do I like thin as much as a mint 1st gen 4Runner?? That would be hard for me to say.

The LJ I have my eye on is not a rubicon model, auto, and has not been beat on.
