I will say though, there's been a lot more market "glitches" going on lately than I can ever remember seeing in the past.

Confirmation bias, maybe.

 

I was looking at that the other day. Right now I'm just assuming that anything with the word "squeeze" in it is trying to draw attention away from GME.

 

If it ain’t GME it’s a distraction.

Squeezes happen all the time. I was involved in two this last year. QuantamScape in DEC and TLRY in FEB. Both where companies I got options on because of positive news that was already released. They both had a decent short position because neither is a proven company. Both generated positive momentum on the news and attracted investors. That attracted more and the shorts covered driving both stocks to stupid high prices. $130 for QS and $63 for TLRY.

Those options printed like you would expect and I made very large returns on them both. I didn't do it with the help of Reddit or WSB. Squeezes happen all the time. It's not some mythical thing that WSB is making it out to be. Usually they happen naturally as shorts realize they need to cover and accept the losses. With GME it's been bough to a level of hype that is pretty comical really. lol

 

IMO the main reason that gme and amc have been such a media frenzy
Lay most with the thought of those companies trying to manipulate a company’s stock price to 0$ caring nothing of what happens to that business, and that meant

I don't disagree with you, but I'm still not convinced you understand just how problematic this GME situation is to the markets at large. I'm not poking fun at you. This has been my life for the last almost 5 months, and what the world is seeing regarding this situation, even those that casually browse WSB or read the occasional compelling hype thread-- that is not the reality of the situation.

It's bad dude lol.

 

There's some evidence that in the last month alone, retail bought as much as another 40m shares.

Everyone gets together in one place and wears a Gamestop T-shirt and pins a # to their shirt that has the # of shares they own...Then everyone flies to DFW aiprort and walks down the street to $GME headquarters...2 Million people all flying into an airport on the same day for a single day trip would get a lot of attention
