Photo Project 365 starting 1.1.11.

So are we all deciding our own themes, or are we going to do a group theme? If we are going to do a contest, it would be cool to have a group theme.

My suggestion for a January theme: For the New Year, the theme is "New"

What does everyone think, any suggestions?

 

Doesn't matter what camera you use. Just take a picture each and every day.

 

Yup, whatever is available, pinhole if necessary.

I have the sd850is as well. Great camera but my little boy uses it a lot

 

@ Krookz You can turn off the sound when you start it up. I have the SD1400 and SD600.

 

So are we having a group theme, or just taking whatever?

 

This sounds like a good idea. I need a push to get out and fire up the D90 more then I do.

A group theme seems like a good idea but could be restrictive to some, so a personal theme can work as well.

If everyone that wants to participate opens a new folder in photobucket or other account so everyone can view the daily shots in succession instead of on a thread here that would be cool. This way each person can have their theme for a day/week/month/year or what ever and be able to satisfy their creativity and also get ideas from others.

I will have to give my self a BIG REMINDER so I don't forget until it becomes a daily habit.

^ Cool, I like this. Open an account, searching throw the pages of the thread would be alot. Take as many pics as you can per day, but I would say try to post maybe just a couple/day so we are spending more time taking pictures than looking at them. Good idea for first theme, for those of us who are getting back into the swing of things, January's theme is "PICTURES".

Yeaaa, what we could do is make a group on deviant art called TacomaWorld. Then everyone would have to create account if they don't already have one so that they can upload their photos to the group page.

If anyone was able to, try to make fireworks the theme for the 1st of 2011! I got some sick shots I'll have to upload once we create a group.

P.S - We could also use flickr to create a group...whichever one works best.

I'm just shooting random pictures though, no themes for me. Some themes would be cool, but having a theme for such a long time can take the fun out of just going out and shooting for the fun of it....

I think what I'm going to do right now to get started is create a folder in my photobucket and add only one shot that is my best shot of the day to it. I will try to title each one as well. I will try to upload every day but it may turn into every few days or once a week. I will also put the link in my signature here so I don't have to copy and paste all the time.

I have my camera in front of me.

It's looking like the best thing to do is choose whatever hosting works best for you and post a link to your project progress in your signature so other people can see it. That seems like a very hassle free way to do it too!

edit: also, i just saw on flickr that theres like a group thing, its like a forum but just pictures and talking about them i guess? anyone interested?

 

Upon further thought, I think it is a good idea to post a best of the day pic here and the rest on another site for others to view. This way the thread will stay alive and constuctive comments can be made as well. I'm going to stick to one a day right now but may start adding more to the site in my sig.
