Ooh damn. No idea. Can’t even remember if it’s got a bed mat in it. I’m pretty sure it does.

gonna look for a local scale and weigh complete stock truck, and weigh weight over front and rear axles as well, to see what the differential is.

Not much after the caliper blows out and stops pressing on it. You’d think they’d notice the fact the car barely stops and the pedal goes to the floor but no, it came in for a check engine light...

    Your efficiency goes to hell.
Drivetrain and engine and transmission has to work 20% harder than stock.
    Bearing life is reduced.
Do I need to go on?
All for looks, clicks and likes for many.

Why is yours higher than normal? Or are you saying "our" trucks gawr is at 6200 lbs now? I ask because you said "mine" and as far as I can tell you have a Taco like the rest of us on here.

Gross axle rating is almost always higher than gross vehicle rating. My trailer might be sitting on a 3500 pound axle, but the placard says max is 3250.

I don't know why it do, but it do.

Trucks are typically designed to run at gvwr and more likely at gawr not at curb weight. While I agree that efficiency is lower than when empty, all else should last long enough to be unnoticeable. Look at all the overland builds most of which are at or over gvwr. But this is the case for jeeps and other vehicles as well.

My 2nd gen OR weighed in at 5500 lbs, 285's, armored up, jacks, and tools. Add a friend or two for lunch, and it's over weight, one of the things that pushed me into a full-sized truck.

Yes I know it is and said as much earlier. Just wondering why there would be a difference between one OR and another. I am gonna guess that all trucks of the same type will have that same number. Just wondering. So 6200 is our gawr. Makes sense because the smaller axle tacos would be the 5900 number I read on line.

A tundra would have the same problem if you modded it the same. The tundra has a payload of only 1300. Not much more than a tacoma. You gotta go to a 2500 or 3500 if you wanna carry a big load.

I just saw 5900 online and didn't realize that it's for the smaller axle trucks. Which is logical so I was not understand your correct numbers. Lol.

The GVWR is the same for all Tacos (5600). However, the GAWR may be different per vehicle, I don’t know. I only know what mine is from the door sticker. The sticker states payload (1000) and GAWR front and rear.

Maybe. Wheel bearings and joints are what seems to fail quickly.
We get so many posts wanting to know "why is my truck getting 15 mpg on highway" and other such crap and people just don't understand physics.
