I don't mind helping but need some confirmation first for sure

I’m going to Granite Falls to 48.146747-121.826873 maybe he took off walking and lost service. It’s going to take me probably an hour and twenty minutes to get to Granite Falls. Hopefully we can get some contact or confirmation while I’m on my way. If he’s walking he’s still going to need help.

280638E4-602D-47A7-B2C1-4D56ED42F282.jpg Hey guys sorry for not being back on. That pin is nowhere near where I got stuck which is weird because the guy who pulled me out got the same link and it got him right to me. Had to walk about a mile to get service. Got out about 9:30 after 2 broken ropes and sheared winch bolt. @Shadowhunter if you drove all the way out here and you see this I’d like to buy you case of beer or something. Both me and the girlfriend made a dumb decision trying to drive in spring snow. We got stuck around 2 and after 3 hours of digging decided it was time to call help. Ended up having a couple people and about 300 feet of rope to get me out

Synthetic line spun on the spool and pulled the rope out of the crimp. It wasn’t even that long of a pull so I had plenty of line wrapped in. I was just too dug in

Yup! Use the ropes strength to your advantage. Glad to see you got out. I was ready to head up that way but am very glad I didn't have to. That looked worse than I expected and doing it in the dark would have sucked ass

I just ordered one too. I didn’t know they existed. I really don’t like how the bolt rubs the line and sure as hell don’t want to rip it out. That being said I’ve been using the my winch around the property the last few nice weekends pulling wooden posts and downed trees and haven’t had any problems.... yet

I can say that is one of Honda's best bikes ever. Drove a few over the years and just could not get comfortable. Now I am on an FJR1300. If I come across something I will let you know.
