The phone only needs to be connected to aim it, look at or download clips. The cam churns away on its own recording all it sees when powered on.

Edit: I don’t download anymore. Just remove the sd card and transfer the clips to the computer.

I had issues with mine when pairing. When my iPhone asked me to join the network, I had to back out and manually connect to the camera’s WiFi rather than letting it connect for me. Kind of a pain but otherwise it’s flawless.

I got it to finally connect to my iPad when I had it connected to power inside my house but of course as soon as I reconnected it in the truck and tried again with the iPad it failed.

Im running an exhaust just like this from MRBP and love it. I’ve always had exhaust systems as well as many other mods on every vehicle I’ve ever owned. A ton of people on here have bashed these “pre-axle” dumps due to the loud dB’s they put out and a “drone” sound... the only time I’ve ever second guessed this set up was a 2hr ride hauling about 3000lbs on a trailer through back roads... then it was a bit loud, but only because the trans kept dropping into lower gears and winding them out a bit longer into the RPM’s. Kept the stock exhaust just in case, but I have no regrets with mine! Love the deeper tone!

I think the Garmin mini creates its own WiFi network, not through Bluetooth.

It’s usb powered? Have you tried a different port, like a charging one instead of the media one?

I’m using a Dongar adapter to get USB power off of the mirror so that shouldn’t be an issue.

Have you tried it in a usb just to see if that works? Shouldn’t be any different but worth a try

DIY Tailgate insert. I used the same 1/2" HDPE that mountain hatch uses, and added a couple cup holders, and spots for phones/tools, or whatever. Cost about $110, plus time.

Thanks! That HDPE is not cheap, and after shipping I don't see how I make much money. it would right around where mountain hatch is price wise, anyways.

I have no problem sharing the model though, if you're interested.

That's so weird, I just installed the same camera with the dongar mirror adapter last week. No problems as of yet.

    My manager lol :)

We're engineers, not NC programmers. There were a couple woopsies, but hardly noticeable. The chamfer by the tailgate latch kinda got away from us :0

Some controls make it easier than others.

I'm still thinking G Code... Conversational has too many dialects ;-)

Replaced the left side panel with a Cali raised one to incorporate all the oem switches and the switch pros panel. I love how it looks like it came stock from the factory. Would definitely recommend

I just taped it off and took my time. I loosed the caps on the bottom and inside like I was going to remove it but not sure if that helped at all. I used bags to cover the paint. In my research they suggested using multiple layers so make the coating thicker and easier to hold up. I used two cans.
