Yeah, I helped @Night Eagle install a set on his truck. They were solid and fit nice and tight.

I think for peace of mind I'm going to swap back to the factory cams today, throw the bison ones in the garbage, and order Taco Tabs if/when I have problems holding an alignment.

Sticking with the sway bar for now.

600lb springs. Tim and a discussed and we'll see how they do, and swap to 650s if needed.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Alignment is still holding strong with no issues. Might do a quick Alignment check here soon because I through my new maxxis 35s on the truck and it favors the left a bit and make sure things are still happy.

what UCAs your running with them? I have some SPC's on Igor that these might be perfect on, despite the pain the ass it will be to adjust them..

    He has TC heimed uppers.

I just aligned my truck yesterday after swapping the cams back to stock and cranking up the coilovers, and it couldn't be easier with SPCs. Just more or less max the cams out for caster, same regardless of the type of cams, and then dial in camber with the uppers.

Also built a hilift mount, it's a tight fit but makes use of otherwise wasted space, and started organizing shit. Lots more organizing and optimizing storage to go for this summer.

Yeah i just imagine if you want to rotate the plate on the SPCs you'll have to jack the truck up and remove the wheel to have a chance at getting it apart and back together right.

can you measure how much room is between the top of your cab antenna, and the bottom of the GFC ?

I just put on the kb voodoo rails yesterday, and have a GFC V2 coming in June

No worries. I am 98% sure that the kb voodoo caps and my little antenna will fit fine. I believe its only 3/4" tall, so I should be good. Ive just been doubting myself

Have you had any issues with your TC uppers squeeking? When I had mine installed a few years ago they squeaked like crazy. Took em back to the shop and the over greased the zerk a shit ton. Removed a bunch of grease which unloaded the pressure against the rubber grommets and they went silent.

The reason I ask is a girl up the street has an XPS X? Tacoma and she runs TC uppers and asked me about squeaking noises upfront.

Unfortunately not still out adventuring, but I'll fix that problem for a much longer duration in a little over a month. :D

I'm with Bob, check the GFC forum. Not sure how valuable any info I give you would be given I don't have a sharkfin, and they've certainly made plenty of changes since my #18 build.

First proper trip in this rig was a great success. I did forget the DSLR at home, so phone pics will have to suffice. Very pleased with how everything came together and performed. Few more things to address, but the truck is just about ready for a summer of non-stop adventure.

@Squeaky Penguin have you already announced a tentative route/plan for this summer? Or is the wind going to guide your free spirit?

I have zero roof antenna. Looks like 1 1/4" at the front of the overhang. Maybe a touch more at the back of the roof where it slopes down.

    20210426_195643.jpg

Definitely the later. I don't have a clue.

Just need to decide on where to start, being the areas I would like to head to first won't be accessible at the start of June. Then just jump between fishing and biking spots, places that look interesting to explore on the map, and whatever else I find in between. I did decide to sorta continue working to the tune of about 5 hours a week, so while I'm grabbing wifi in whatever town I end up in, I'll research the area a little too. That's about as much of plan as I can currently come up with.

I was soo nice to be back. It's been 5 years for me, and the 1st trip wasn't long enough. Will need to head back again in a couple years.
