Realistically I need to put my daughters stroller back there’s that’s why.. I was more so aiming for the folding type but if any one has other recommendations that would be awesome!!

It lays pretty flush when closed down and can be folded up from the bed when you need the entire space. I liked that it’s held up by struts in that position and not on the truck. Still allows me to use the factory tie down rails too. Easy installation and very heavy duty.

I bought the Bak Bakflip Mk4 just last week.

It was $948 plus tax and $125 to install. They even put the drain plugs in with the hoses to help with weather proofing.

It sits flush, folds up all the way, it looks really good.

It's not 100% water proof (I don't think T Covers are 100%) but it does a good job keeping out most of the water.
I paired it with a OEM Tacoma bed matt and all my stuff in the back stays really dry.

There's no way I'd run anything other than a diamondback, so that's my recommendation

I really like my Peragon. Doesn't create any wind resistance when folded. And it comes off easily if I want my entire bed. I regularly haul stuff that's too tall wit the cover closed. I just open it and secure it in place. If I do need to remove it, it takes just a couple of minutes. A big thing for this old phart is that it's weight is easily manage.

I ordered the TruXedo Pro X15. Looks good, sits flush, rolls up or you can remove it totally using a latch at the front.

I did cheap, I only needed it for a few months and it worked great, total cost about $100, 2 pieces of plywood, 1-2x2 board, some nuts & bolts, some eye bolts, old tie down straps, hinges and paint sitting at the house. This went through a rain storm for 2 days and didn't leak

New set up, but I kept the cover just encase

Soft rollup I'd pick truxedo truxport for about $300.

Mid to high price hard tri-fold I'd pick the Lomax mentioned above for around 600-700 or the bakflip mx4 for about 1,000.

The mx4 can be secured or latched partly open unlike the rollups that are either completely open or closed.

These are the ones I'm looking at for under a $1000. Definitely search the forums for dealers offering discounts. You can PM them for a quote. I'm leaning towards the mx4 because of it's low profile and it looks like it belongs on the truck. I like the Lomax, but the lines don't match the shape the bed of the truck and that bugs my ocd a little.

If you have the budget I'd recommend a hard cover for the added security. An oem locking tailgate harness is a plus too. It locks and unlocks your tailgate with your key fob.

I also have the Bakflip MX4. Bought it new on Craigslist for $850. Installed in about an hour. Looks fantastic, very tactical. And they claim it can hold 400 pounds on top. Like Harmon said, it isn't absolutely water tight, though I think it can be close to it if you add some sealant on the bed rails. Don't store your tax documents in the bed... Know that it does cause the OEM bed rails to drop about an inch, so some components that are designed for the height of the OEM rail will not fit. That said, I'm very happy with it.

I got my MX4 for $750 new during a black Friday sale back in November. Must have sealed it right when I installed it. No leaks that I have found so far.
