Because up and down can utilize existing spindle vs the company having to fabricate a new one, which is expensive for the consumer.

    A few mods
Thought I'd post an update for those who are curious. I ordered RCLT on the first day of pre-orders, literally minutes after it went live. I had my eye on it for a while and had saved the money to buy either RCLT, if the timing worked out, or a Total Chaos +2 setup. Because of the steering and spindle upgrades RCLT was a better choice for me. I received an email from Marlin a few weeks ago saying that there had been two 2-week delays and that the first batch of kits would start shipping on 4/19/21. It also had a list of OE part numbers for seals and other knuckle components, which was helpful. Today I saw that Dirt Lifestyle posted in IG that he's "partnering" with Marlin and will be running RCLT on his Taco. I'm a fan of Nate's channel and watch his videos regularly. That being said, I'm hoping that Marlin plans on sending kits out to those of us who put money up back in February (paid in full) before their partners. I'll keep this thread updated with any communications I get from Marlin about my order status, because yea... it's been all crickets from them on their RCLT thread.

I’ve seen a race team or so post about having their new kit. Still seems to be missing pieces and not a complete kit but there are a few posts about the kit. Still seems like a Marlin Sham and shit customer service.

they won’t stay in business long this way. Bet

Exactly why I want to see a few complete kits roll out before I give up my money. There are other vendor options that I have alot more confidence in right now.

Ordered my JD Fab rear. Harry had everything in stock and called Deaver to make sure the leaf's were ready to ship as well before I even handed over my money. Not two hours later he had a picture of my welded hangers on my build thread. Now that's Customer Service!

I'll be going long travel here soon and will either pick the JD Fab kit or another +2 kit from Total Chaos. Waited...2 years for this? Maybe more?

Last thing I want is to get a kit and have horrific customer service. Goodluck to those still waiting!

Mike's making deals with the influencers more than fulfilling customers orders. Gotta hype it more. Funny how the steelcity4runner IG page was silent until Mike dropped they are almost ready to ship and now they are hyping again and that page became active again. And yet delayed again. Hyped a custom rack for the longest time come to find out it's an LC200 rack now and you have to make it fit just like a tundra one........They've dropped the ball too many times for my comfort level which is why I went a different direction.
Just an FYI JD fab only took 1/2 of what my order was with them then built my stuff constantly posting pics of the parts. Then this week surprise most of the stuff arrived at my door. They didn't call asking for more payment or anything yet. I reached out to Harry to settle up. It's that kind of relationship where they know you're good for it and trust you and not wanting all your dough up front but put faith in you giving you a product before they receive the rest of the money is why I went JD. Also they accommodated a custom PC color and a custom anodizing order for some parts. Complete transparency on timelines for stuff.

I've got an email over a year ago asking for serious people to get in on a preorder. Sooooo........... There may be quite a few ahead of you that dropped the $$$$$ over a year ago.
I'm a fan of Nate's too what I'm not a fan is the constant going for influencers and hyping without any real parts on the ground to customers. Nothing is ever in stock there are huge waiting lists and I've seen a few complaints of getting parts for repairs. Not a fan of that business. Nate lost some respect from me on this move not researching what the company has done the past few years and yet jumping on the bandwagon of parts being thrown at him from a company that hasn't been supporting their customers well for a while now.

I like Nate's channel too, but his "review" of the 3rd gen i felt was over the top and whiny. Im not a huge fan of the 3rd gen but i feel like alot of what he was bitching about was known problems already and acted like it was OMG i cant believe this. like i know your a jeep fan boy and probably only got the tacoma to get more people to watch the channel, but he seems to want to bash it every change he gets. i do think he had one or two legit gripes but damn man, its not that bad.

when i saw he is partnering with Marlin i just rolled my eyes. i bet hes getting a hefty discount on the kit to hype the living shit out of it. and it just seems disingenuous to me.

Exactly! I laughed at the 3rd gen complaint video. It was literally how I see the turd gen fri threads going in real life for the guys complaining.

Disingenuous on both ends especially MC.

Same here....hell, Harry didnt even take half. He took enough to cover the King shocks and bypasses and that was it. I added more stuff to my order later and asked if he wanted cash to cover it and his answer was "nah...I know your good for it" Its treatment like that that keeps customers returning and the innovative products they are making too.

I did too on the first couple of orders then since he's like i'll take x.
Yeah he took enough to cover the COs, bumps, and some of the materials lol, that was 1/2 my order. He's been pretty instrumental in helping me get a new rear lined up when other bigger named companies, what I wanted fell on deaf ears and no call backs or anything. When it's like pulling teeth to get a company to take your money they won my complete support especially when you are getting product.
