Looks like a better DIY repair kit, I have a few chips I need to address, what did you get and how's it working for you?

    not much tbh
It's really easy 30 min job. Don't expect it to look pretty (doesn't look worse, just doesn't make the chip disappear fully), it just is to keep it from cracking by filling it with resin that sets hard in the sun. Just go to your local autoparts store and ask them for a kit and there should be detailed instructions on how to do it.

Drove it to play airsoft on Sunday. I had two rifles that I was having problems with and I needed to test them after fixing them last week.
They both worked perfectly (need small tweaks). I'll be attending a big game in New York on May 1st so I need to make sure the rifles are good to go.

I also realized that I have to watch where I park. There was a dip that I didn't see right at my drivers door, with that and the fact that my truck is lifted, it made it real difficult getting in/out, especially with gear on when I had to move the truck to let someone out.

The compass/temp mirror worked perfectly and the UltraGauge also worked fine but I want to change what is displayed on the main screen (some info I don't need).

On Saturday I tried to remove my old antenna but cutting the nut in three places with a Dremel and breaking the nut with Vise-Grips, didn't work, that nut is on there.
Today I'm going to attempt to cut off the entire top of the antenna without too much damage to the fender (which needs to be replaced anyways).

I had to cut my antenna base off as well, I don't know if they loc-tite those antenna nuts from factory or what but I had to cut it and replace the whole mast into the cab, fortunately it's not too difficult or expensive.

I have all the parts (mast, nut and rubber piece). I was getting static on AM/FM channels so I bought the replacement parts. I didn't realize how stuck/corroded that nut is.

I use my AM/FM so rarely, personally I think most of what's on the radio isn't for me, but I want to keep the antenna for a few things.

If the alert boards are flashing on the highway I tune in to find out why.

I can see my antenna tip from the cab and I know if it clears the rest of my truck clears.

It helps a little with guiding brush away from the snorkel head.

Appearances, truck looks better with it and the CB antenna, kinda funky without a radio antenna IMHO.

But yeah I never actually listen to the radio.

There is a Microcenter in Yonkers, New York that I go to occasionally, I have to drive through the parking garage to get to the entrance. After I installed the lift the tip of the antenna smacks every support so I have to remember to remove the antenna before pulling in the garage.

    Wish I had a microcenter that wasn't a 7 hour drive away.

That looks good! I keep thinking about doing the same to mine. I would need to take it off and try to bang some of the dents out from the previous owner.

Congrats on the truck! It looks like my 2009 Tacoma Prerunner I bought a few years ago. You can click on my build thread in my signature block to see where I started if you’re interested.

While you have some things to address, namely the tires and bearing, it will all come together and for the most part this is a great group to help out.

I have the same wheels but mine have a -12 offset & 285/70 nitto ridge grapplers wrapped around them. Did you get a matching spare as well?

I have a rattle/vibration somewhere on the passenger side. It's in the dash I think, a fastener is just slightly loose or something. It bugs me off and on, I might actually try to chase it down today. It's literally just something making a noise at certain RPMs inside the cab. I used to think it was the the radio surround, because it was for a little while, at the top left clip. But now I am hearing it somewhere else further away.

Getting ready to move cross country from NY to NV. Decided to treat myself... fixed my driver side window regulator and door check. Window opens fully again!

Dropping the C4 Fabrication bumper off to get this New England rust sandblasted off.

Compare the old key to the new key and look at the cuts, if the cuts look the same you can probably make the new key work by smoothing the edges of the new cut key with a mini file and it'll probably start working for you, I've done it many times. Don't "recut" the key, just smooth out the very edge of the cut. run your finger over the edge of the 2 keys and you'll feel what you need to do to the new key. As far as programming a ignition key with a chip I don't know anything about it.
