What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Same! Mine was sitting in the garage for a while. Had some time in the morning, and it was a nice day so I figured I would just take the plunge.

What's your setup? Are you running a Diamondback cover?

 

Yep. Diamondback HD, which I absolutely love so far. I ordered the Front Runner bars in anticipation of a RTT purchase in the next month or two as my wife has decided that it looks a lot better than sleeping on the floor. Who am I to argue?

 

I've had my 19' taco for a couple years and have just started to dive down the customization rabbit hole. I'm having way to much fun and the list of things I want to do just keeps growing.

Mods so far:
Alpha Rex Sequential LED headlights (Black on Black)
Pro-Series LED Tail Lights (Red Smoke)
Helo HE904 17x9 0mm Offset Wheels
265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W Tires
Taco Vinyl Color Match Raptor Grille
And lastly a couple cans of Plasti Dip to get rid of the chrome

 

Nice. Wife-approved mods for the win!

Just a side note for the install. I ended up only using 3 bolts per rail. If you want to use all 5, you will have to use the provided jack nuts. One of the guys in that thread reached out to a diamondback engineer and they confirmed a minimum of 3 bolts are needed for support. I was trying to avoid having to drill more holes than needed.

Dang, me too. That heat shielding is where it’s at and the plug and play was easy. But at least he suffered on the zip ties like I did. Oh well, it’s done now.

 

Yep, I've got a PnL that isn't getting installed now that I've seen OEM is a little nicer. Wish I'd done some research and not taken some random TW user on their word that OEM was simply a white-label PnL...

I actually received a reply email from Spotter Mirror after sharing this OEM BSM light retrofit install with them:

"Sorry that you had to go through this trouble. We will immediately look into the light output and look for a brighter option."

 

I'm an old man, so I like the old stuff.

I ordered it on 2/2 and had my delivery on 3/11. I got in early enough before they really got backed-up.

 

The oem tailgate lock was not out yet when I installed the pop n lock. Oh well.
