Nope. Email quote. When I did my Nissan back in March they called a few days later as a follow up. Really not much pressure.

Wow, they will have to sell your old truck for over 40K to make a profit.

When I plug in my 2021 TRD Pro with 250 miles I get 35k lol. Guess lightly aged is where it’s at! This was with Vroom, which offered me $2k more for my civic than carvana. Carvana wants me to drive it in, and automation will get back to me. Not trying to sell, just wanted to see what they all said about it.

Word on the street is they average 3-4K profit per sale so they will be asking damn near msrp. Sticker was 45.5k for my truck.

I’ll keep an eye on it just to see how long it sits and what they get for it.

I did an Autonation search on 2017’s with a 500 mile radius and I have to say over all the prices are crazy. Then I narrowed it down to TRD OR and Pros and came up with 7 Including a 118k mile Pro for over nearly $41.

Yeah l am curious to how they will price your old truck, used market does seem to have some crazy high prices.

That's great to hear, and hopefully CarMax will honor the online quote I received next week.

Funny enough, the leased car I'm looking to sell early is an Audi (2018 S4).

    Folks
Why? Do you need the cash to pay free and clear a less expensive vehicle or pay down a new Tacoma and be locked into a note for an extended period of time?

My truck has been paid off for about a year. If you can afford to get something new(er), it’s pretty hard not to flip a 4 year old truck for $1K less than I paid for it in late 2016. Like I said before, if I didn’t really love the truck it would be a no brainer for me. That’s just me.

2020 TRD Off-road. Every option available. Have had it 18 months and 21k miles. I was offered 37.5 from Caravana. I’m taking it.

    I say "why not"...
Every vehicle cost you money each year in depreciation.
If I'm going to lose less than $2000/yr for the years I've owned it, I'm out.
Next vehicle has more features, full warranty, etc. Hopefully to sell again within a few years.
    That's why I buy a Tacoma.

EDIT: BTW I sold my 2018 to Carvana last fall for more than I paid.

Oh, I hear you. I traded a '17 F250, with 37K for $4K less than I paid for it. I have no clue what they actually sold it for but the dealer had it listed for exactly $1K more than I paid for it 3.5 years ago....

Carvana had no problem with my 2020 Pro. That's almost 2K more than I paid for the truck a year ago. Still, it ain't going anywhere.

Carvana must be making the money to be Jimmie Johnson's primary sponsor on his Indy car his rookie season this year. LOL!

Tried Carvana ($35090) and Vroom ($35898) but Carmax offered me the most and paid me on the spot. $36,400 for a 2018 TRD OffRoad 4x4 DCSB with Tech package and 29,970 miles. Total deal took less than 30 mins. In Nov ‘18 I paid OTD $34,171.

    A few.
Did Carmax want to see your truck in person before giving the offer?

I just plugged in my 2020 TRD OR 4x4 with 11K miles and came back at $38,088.......$2K more than I paid for it 4 months ago......truly bizarre.
