How are some of you guys getting 300+ miles per tank? I fill up with 91 Premium and can’t seem to ever get a reading above 260 miles.

I still average 400 with 285s haha. South Carolina is flat and I drive slow, keep the shifts under 2k. Pretty easy actually.

The week I bought the truck it would read almost 330 miles on a full tank and now it reads max 257 miles to a full tank. I live in California where it’s pretty flat

    Less skinny pedal.

My range will often read 415 miles to empty when full. However, that's more of a guideline than a fact. In the summer I'll get 21-23 MPG at 70 MPH with Cruise and 23-24 at 60 MPH.

Mods also hurt the truck such as lifts and tires. Mine is unmodified with stock size tires. Weather is also a factor. The colder it is, the lower your MPG will generally be.

Also, these trucks do not require 91 octane and you don't receive any benefit from running it so you are quite literally throwing your money away.

I got 291 going down to a quarter(ish) a bit above tank and that’s with some mountain driving, and that’s with 87 octane Costco gas.

Avg 380-410 per tank, I drive a lot, like 800-1000 per wk and most of it is on the expressway, keep it under 75 & draft using the radar cruise when you can. Getting 21-22 mpg.

Unlike most on here, I don't do mods, it's just a work vehicle..... a Camry with a open bed for a trunk.

Mine reads 310-320 when I fill, depending if I put more after the initial cut off by the pump. Last time I tripometered it on refill I got 330.

What size tires are you running? I have 265/75/16s and have never gotten less than 300 (on about 18 gallons). I also work in the mountains and have to go up 5K ft. in elevation 2-3 times a week.

    3” lift with 33x12.5R15

I noticed the loss in mileage before the lift and tires, so I don’t think it’s necessarily that. If it is.. Would you recommend the OV Tune?4B22CAC8-DFC4-4357-9FF3-C1558CCB599A.jpg

    Miles per tank.

There's a reason that's not an engineering standard. :boink:

Yeah the computer guesses (I’m assuming based on your mpg stats from previous trips?). It could say 320 and you could pedal to the metal it everywhere and get 200. Tripometer ftw.

Are you adding in the ~8% difference the bigger tires make to your recorded mileage?

I know my computer is full of shit (I hope). My '16 I drove a lot, and I could get 400 out of it on the freeway. I fill up my '20 and the computer tells me I've got about 260.

Problem is, I bought my '20 when I was stuck at home, and I've still been working from home. I haven't run a full freeway tanks worth of gas through it yet in 2400 miles.

Same city. I have a 2.7 dcsb with quite a bit of mods and I average ~280 or below. Gas from Costco Clovis

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
    Last 4 major fill-ups = 317, 317, 316, 307 (NO Low Fuel indicator either).
In New England - we have little really flat land.
It's all in the driving dude.
    Just turned 4500 miles.

    A few.
Oh, its definitely that. Also your odometer is now off with the bigger tires. Gotta multiply the mileage x 1.07 to get true miles traveled per tank.

My distance to empty usually shows about 315 miles. Most of the time when I fill up, I have about 315-335 on the tank, if I wait until the low fuel light comes on. The most I’ve gotten on a tank was 372 so far.
