If you guys like outraging at big money look into the current European football situation. Basics is : large clubs owned by rich guys who don’t care about the sport wanted to make their own league that did not have relegation or promotion and could be bought in with a large fee. No promotion or relegation means no motivation for the players. They wanted to over shadow the champions league which is holy grail of club soccer. These teams have been informed they will he kicked out of champions league and their players will not be eligible for national team. So these large clubs are basically saying they don’t want to waste time playing in normal leagues. This has caused massive outrage. It’s all about financials. And one of the main companies handling financial side and lending etc. JP Morgan... the fact that these teams are only in it for the money and will put their players in a position they can’t represent their country is horrible. Also important to note this is all club owners choices. Team managers/coaches and players were uninformed and not given a choice.

 

I pulled up the stats, and 2020 didn't have a statistically relevant increase in pool drownings per any other year. Ergo, we can infer that the year 2020 in and of itself was irrelevant to the pool market at large. This sounds a lot like the mainstream media trying to distract us.

Pools are bigger money pit than social media meme stonks All the big box stores that carry pool chems use one plant in Louisiana that burned down. Pretty soon here your local leslies will be hoppin with new customers comin in for the chlorine hockey pucks. Only to be met with a price that’s gone up 25 bucks on 35 lb buckets in the past 5 months.

 

I know pool servicing and installation was booked solid.
Fewer people on the whole swimming because public pools were closed...
I'm guessing most drownings are unattended kids...at pools they're not familiar with...Sooo...no visiting friends...less drowning?

 

From what I saw it was more families spending time together so all our float devices/ small kids toys that can be used as methods to teach young ones to swim were hot items compared to other years. More time put into teaching the young ones leads to the less drowning I suppose.

My parents have a heated salt chlorinated pool...water chemistry on it is perfect. Feels great to swim in, not chlorine smell...and no chalky skin...
