    Such a nice day today I decided to get my truck washed and it looks nice and shiny !!!

    Also the Driveline shop called today to tell me the new driveshaft for my Camaro will be ready next week :thumbsup:

    Its going to be bulletproof with 3" dia / .095 thick chromemolly tube and Billet steel slip yoke , billet steel welded end and 1350 series u joints :burnrubber:

    planning my still unapproved vacation, gotta start making reservations or I'll just end up sitting at home for 3 weeks.
    Decided to scrap the Oregon idea, sticking to an MT trip.
    Memorial Day is proving to be the hardest to find open camping reservations BUT three campgrounds are opening for the season on Friday night and are first come first served. I can get reservations at another nearby camp for Wed/Thurs night so I guess I'll just hope I can get a free spot on Friday if I get there early enough.

    vacation route roughly planned - 1100 miles according to the google. not bad considering my last two vacations racked up over 2200 miles...in half the time.
    focusing on NW MT and the ID panhandle. got to do a little more research, try to plan a laundry stop in there somewhere, and double check on opening dates for a couple of campgrounds. otherwise things are shaping up!

    Short update from Florida!!

    Rough weekend for our museum this last Saturday.. Our 13 year restoration project with our TBM Avenger, during performance in the Cocoa Beach Airshow, had to make a water emergency landing. Pilot got out OK with no problems, in fact because of his skill he avoided striking several surfers and swimmers in the water by the Patrick Air Force base..

    I saw videos of that on instagram! As soon as I saw it was in FL I thought of your planes but figured it wasn't one of yours since you didn't say anything here.
    One heck of a pilot to get out of that without hurting himself or anyone else. Lucky for sure. I suppose the plane is a complete loss? Are you guys able to get it out of the water?

    The pilot did an awesome job putting the aircraft down in the water and avoiding the swimmers . Looks like a soft landing in the surf so hopefully no major structural damage to the aircraft

    All's well here in Central Ohio. Off to work, abit for not much longer. As of 7/30/21 I am stepping away from the Airport after 31 years. Total of 44 years in Aviation. Been at KOSU, The Ohio State University Airport in 2 different departments since 1990. Operations and FBO mostly. So now on to more fun things. The Tacoma of course, along with our RV trailer. oh, and there is always 4 or 5 motorcycles in my shop to play with.
