    Hey everyone,

I have been looking at several low profile, or slim design front bumpers ..like these

    https://c4fabrication.com/products/tacoma-front-lo-pro-winch-bumper-2nd-gen-2012-2015

    or this

    https://www.endlesshorizonoutfitter...-hybrid-series-bumper-for-the-2012-15-tacoma/

    - but instead of the winch, I'm looking to get some recovery point and a centered 2" receiver hitch.

I've always been a fan of Mobtowns Hidden front hitch, w/ recovery points, and if I can't find a low-pro bumper/hitch hybrid.. i"ll probably go with this happily.. just wondering if there's something out there I missed.

    Thanks

Love that bumper, I have looked at those two front hitch models and unfortunately they both mount like underneath the front bumper and really cut into that approach clearance. I mostly do beach driving and I'm looking to mount a rod holder or basket, and then be able to "drive in" a boat instead of backing it in .. so I really like the mobtown , cause it keeps whatevers in the hitch from snowplowing into the sand when I'm headed out.

Yeah, with what you're trying to accomplish? I'd go with the Mobtown unit personally.

Looks like 4xInnovations also has a hidden front hitch, similar to the Mobtown unit:

Thats a nice one for sure, even a little cheaper. Still kinda partial to Mobtown for the recovery points, but def something to consider.. Thanks

CBI Off-road has a front hitch. Hell if you’re in AZ, I have one that I’d give you a smoking deal on. Just trying to get it out of my garage.

I just picked up my Mobtown hidden hitch a few weeks ago. Really beefy and good quality. I'm having the exact opposite debate from you where I really only want it for the winch so thinking a hidden winch mount might be the better way to go for me.

Do you have any pictures of it installed?

CBI install instructions are only for 3rd gen (that I can find)...and no pics of installed on 2nd gen. I'm in Flagstaff, but have to come down to Phoenix in the next week or so. I'm interested, but need to see what it looks like installed.

Here is the install guide for the 3rd gen, basically the same steps for 2nd gen.

    Thanks @azgunrunner

    Just a couple of questions:

    1. CBI had issues early on with the wrong tube size not accommodating 2" accessories. Do you know if you have the later model that was fixed?

    2. Will your hitch receiver mount fit early 2nd gens? Ours is an '07.

    Thanks again.

I believe this one is the later ones after the issue. The original person that I bought it from had it on an early 2nd gen.

Thanks for confirming it will fit on an early 2nd gen...

Be great if you could confirm that it one of the "corrected" versions. Don't mean to be a pita, but it would suck to find out standard 2" receiver stuff doesn't fit...Screenshot attached for reference.
