Judging by the 8/11 sticker I was going to need one sooner than later.

are you going to get a voltage booster with it also? I think the one I had from Singer Alternators helped. Not so much with a stock battery though..

I think with deep cycle batteries, the voltage drops at startup. So when you drive it keeps the voltage higher than the standard 13.9-14.2. Brings it up to 14.6-14.9?

tl;dr- the battery needs 14.1-14.7 volts to fully charge and our alternators put out 14v at most.

You can trick your alternator into pumping out a higher voltage. Or for me, my solar panel puts out the necessary voltage during one of its maintenance cycles.

PS, damn your video on the ARB 12v plug for fridges. Im going to have to get one now. I think my plug keeps falling out and messing with my fridge

Battery doesn't get a full charge. Not great if you're trying to stay parked and run a fridge. I'm sure there are other con's but it's certainly not the end of the world if you don't do it. You probably won't get max life out of it though.

 

did you already sell yours?

 

I don't have any accessories besides light bars that I barely use, so I think I should be okay. hopefully if it does fail, it fails within the 60 months of warranty haha

After over a year of use, I decided it's time for some upgrades, so I snagged THE LAST water block made for the Quadro M5000 GPU: https://www.performance-pcs.com/wat...adro-m04-incl-backplate-black-ac-11331-d.html

And I've pieced together the rest of the water loop, but I need to do some more research before I buy anything else.

My plan is to get a small Resrivior pump combo, a 2 240 rad / fans or a 240 and a 120 rad and fans, use flexible tubing, and obviously get a CPU block to cool that too.

Oh, and some more RGB.

Maybe I'll make my own thread for this, but for now I'm stoked!

Thanks! SolidWorks mostly. I'm actually on an entrepreneurship license, so in November it runs out and I'll need to have at least $5k to buy the basic package. Funding my small business is actually part of the reason I got into investing as a hobby

 

Nice, what kind of designing do you do?
I have about a year of experience with SW designing supports for equipment in boats/ships and enjoyed using it. Its very versatile. Now I'm working with Advanced Steel and Plant.
