I've definitely enjoyed having mine. It makes clean up a lot easier and helps cushion the bottom of your tent.

For the size of your tent, something like this is relatively inexpensive to try out at least and see if it works for you.

Do not over look Aladdin Kerosene lamps as a heat source for camping. They even make "Dark lamp" versions just for heating. (a metal chimney)
They do require ventilation.!

 

Love that area. Some of the coolest and easiest camping around.

lol, saw some "influencer" on IG the other day posting about "being off the grid, and way out in nature in Alabama Hills". I was like - bish, you less than 10 minutes outside of town.

 

Alabama Hills is littered with tourists man. I saw a bunch of them with their IG handles and deployed RTTs, taking selfies. Didn’t see them at Coyote Flats though haha.

 

S/W CO area. Light snow the 1st 2 days and had sun the second 2 days.

Very nice. Who is the manufacturer of the chuck box? It looks light weight compared to my old wood ones.

 

Its a Dosko Campmate. It was a game changer for me, as I was able to organize all my cooking supplies into one compact unit, weighing about 45 lbs loaded. You can use the lid as a wash bin also. Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore. After looking for some time, I scored mine about a year ago from someone in New Mexico on Marketplace.

 

After I saw your photo I went searching for it and you’re right, nowhere to be found. Looks cool though

Damn. That is pretty expensive. I paid $150 for mine, used, with shipping. But I plan on keeping it forever.
